Date of this article.

Good to see the relations warming. Not to forget the good news about 14 F-16s tht followed these meetings.

Being a NATO ally is not all its cracked up to be. USA need not share its tech. Look at F-35. Many partners, including UK are complaining US doesn't share sensitive tech.

Also, if you become part of NATO, you have to go to war alongside USA when need be. So if tomorrow USA has a fallout with Saudi and decides to attack (US supported Iraq in Iran-Iraq war, then attacked them when they had a fallout), will Pakistani troops be ready to march into Mecca? Will they be willing to open artillery fire or conduct air strikes on the holy cities if need arises?

Another block should rise:
China
Pakistan
Turkey
Iran
Ukraine
Egypt
Indonesia
Saudis
Libya
malaysia
Other important nations mostly anti NATO countries or anti US\israel

Iran and Saudi don't see eye-to-eye. Plus Saudi won't go anti-USA. Turkey is neither anti-US nor anti-Israel. Current Egypt govt is not anti-USA, and are not at odds with Israel. Ukraine is not anti-USA (actually Ukraine govt wanted to move away from Russia and towards west). And I think Malaysia is not anti-US either. I am not sure about Indonesia.

You want countries that are anti-US and anti-Israel, throw in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Somalia and Sudan. You can also throw in Venezuela, North Korea and Zimbabwe for good measure (i don't think they are anti-Israel, but they hate USA!).

So the new block can look like this

China
Pakistan
Iran
Indonesia
Libya
Yemen
Syria
Lebanon
Somalia
Sudan
Venezuela
North Korea
Zimbabwe

I just made this list based on your anti US/anti-israel requirement :azn:.

Hmm,

Both lists are funny, as India, a sixth of world's population has been left out in either case.

You may laugh a bit but I have different views. Seems India is too cunning (Hint: Chanakya's policy).
Also I do not think China would be taking side as well. Why China should do it. Creating so-called alliances would turn the geopolitical relations which even China would be avoiding. And China is smart enough. ;)

P.S. --> China already has SCO. They can use it upto some extent if need arises.
