New US intelligence report shows Iran moving closer to nuclear weapon

A new report out of Washington shows the American intelligence community has come to adopt Israel’s view that Iran is making notable strides in its development of a nuclear weapon.

The National Intelligence Estimate, recently presented to US President Barack Obama, includes “alarming” intelligence about Iran’s nuclear program, including marked progress on key elements of its weaponization drive, the daily newspaper Haaretz reported Thursday.

The report is a 180 degree turn from the last NIE on Iran, in 2007, which reported that Iran had given up on its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and had not returned to it.

The 2007 report was seen as a setback to Israel, which believes Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons and has been waging a campaign for the world to cotton to its view and work to stymie Tehran.

Iran insists its program is for peaceful purposes, such as energy and research.

The new NIE, compiled by intelligence czar James Clapper and representing the view of the wider US intelligence community, has not been released to the public. Haaretz based its report on unnamed Western diplomats and Israeli officials.

Earlier this week, Haaretz reported that new intelligence showed a surprising speeding up of military elements of Iran’s nuclear program, a view accepted by Israel, the US, Britain, France and Germany.

NUCLEAR WEAPONS:

1- Iran already has nuclear weapons from two sources:

(a) The test was conducted in North Korea from an Iranian weapon (even reported in the Israeli press).

(b) During the fall of the USSR Iran also purchased a part of the former Soviet Republic's nuclear arsenal (confirmed by Russian military sources more than 10 years ago).

(c) Anyone that doubts it, can try their luck.

2- The other thing Israel should pay attention to are:

(a) During an 8 year war with Iraq when the US, Europe, and Russia backed Saddam and Iran's government was new and under sanctions, Iran stood firm. Iran had very little military after the change in government. Saddam's generals said they have never seen anything like it before: Iranians will run at you without fearing death; and without being demoralized in the slightest (not in the wild and uncoordinated way the Taliban hits-&-runs; but in a way that Iranian after Iranian will chase down an enemy until the enemy is defeated in a precise and collaborative way and without any fear; It's an intangible quality that may be hard for some to understand, but think of it this way: Iran has been Iran for thousands of years and has ultimately vanquished all foes: That doesn't happen without a type of strength that has nothing to do with a weapons budget. Look at the Republic of Azerbaijan; They spend billions for weapons and outnumber Armenians; yet 2 million Armenians defeated them. The Armenians have a similar resolve Iranians have.

(b) Quantity is a type of quality. There are 80 million Iranians. 220 million Persian speakers world wide. And tens of millions more in friends. Israel is nothing compared to this. Can Israelis carry-around their jet fighters with them? Will each Israeli have a nuclear bomb in his pocket? Israel is used to fighting wars against a rag-tag militia in Gaza and defenseless women and children (they can pretend that's not the truth, but the world knows this). Israel cannot even defeat a small Lebanese militia; Talk of Israel's military prowess is hype. During Israel's so-called conquests during the Arab wars, those Arab armies were ill-equiped, mostly farmers, and poorly trained; it was from a different era. Those stories don't carry any weight. Quantity is a qualitative weapon. And if a fight comes down to 1-on-1 combat all over the globe; Israelis are toast.

3- Just listen to the fear in the voices of the Israeli leaders: Have you ever heard them talk that way about Hamas? Hezbollah? Egypt? Jordan? Saddam? Listen to their fear - listen to their daily and shrill panic - it tells you something beyond what you read in the papers.

BOTTOM LINE

My personal opinion is that these fake and false reports are being generated by the Israelis because they know they cannot handle Iran on their own.

IT SHOULD BE LIKE IRAN HAS A NUKE BOMB ALREADY

I HATE ALL THIS FAKE NEWS

That's the story they're feeding the public. What's really happening we'll find out about later
