New ISRO satellite will revolutionise Internet in India. Read how

Why do you have problem with ISRO launching sats ??

lack of ambitions and capability.

01.
isro, aged 50+, funded hugely by government and with many thousands of employees.
spacex, aged 12, privately funded ( lot less ), with 3800+ employees.

02.
isro work-horse launcher - pslv - leo luggage capacity, 3.2 tons - gto luggage capacity, 1.4 tons
spacex ( former ) work-horse launcher - falcon 9 - leo luggage capacity, 10 tons - gto luggage capacity, 4.5 tons.

03.
isro not having a leo spaceship which is proper-sized or useful
spacex designed the dragon leo spaceship with human-capability-testing in mind

04.
isro cannot transfer any luggage to the space station
spacex dragon 1 has made four operational trips to space station just since inauguration in 2012

05.
isro does not have a concrete or properly theoretical human program... majorly a satellite maker
spacex was begun with the objective of taking people to mars

06.
spacex will probably test its first test pilot by end of 2016
isro - ??

07. spacex has been testing the falcon v1.1 rocket which is meant for resusability
isro has not tested any such vehicle

08.
spacex has displayed the dragon v2 leo spaceship meant to carry seven people
isro - ??

09.
bigelow aerospace is making inflatable space stations
isro will probably lease them within five years, with transport provided by spacex :enjoy:

10.
spacex is meant to be the main transport provider in the "mars one" program
isro ??

11.
whether or not "mars one" starts, spacex will get humans to mars
isro - ??

u r claiming to be an arap!!!

:what:

This satellite will revolutionize communication technologies in India. But seems people including Indians are not interested. lol And some idiot is asking for Man on Mars!!! Sigh!!!

ISRO is working on manned space mission, first it would be to the low Earth Orbit.

ISRO: No Manned Mission to Moon -The New Indian Express
The human space flight programme according to ISRO, is limited to sending a crew of two astronauts to a low earth orbit and returning them safely to a set destination on earth. ISRO, however, has set itself a target of 2017 for achieving this mission. As part of the prerequisites, the space agency will first have to prove that the Geo Synchronous Launch Vehicle (GSLV) platform can be used for the launch. The pre-project research is being carried out with `150 crore and the project is not even part of the 12th five-year plan that ends in 2017.

It may be noted that a manned mission to the moon was the pet project of former ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair who had repeatedly said ISRO would attempt putting an Indian on the moon by 2020.

Media Releases
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has handed over the first “Crew Module Structural Assembly” for the “Human Spaceflight Program” to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram of ISRO in Bangalore, recently.

:what:

And then you also want total socialism in here.Pathetic.
Those 50+ aged veteran scientists that spend their entire life for this nation with meagre salaries by sacrificing luxurious high western life (capatilaists acvording to you ) is thousands times worthy than a moron like you.

ISRO is our humble effort .
At least teach those socialisim and third rate Jamahiriya to those western porsche western capitalists like SpaceX and Mars one .Force them to spend money for poors.

Get a life moron.

Working on manned space mission: ISRO chairman | The Indian Express
January 4, 2015

Additionally, following the success of ISRO’s maiden attempt at the Mars Mission, the agency is also working towards human space flight programme. “In the next few years, we are working towards the launch of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV),” Radhakrishnan said during a session at the Indian Science Congress Saturday.

Chandrayaan 2 and Aditya missions would be launched by 2017. Chandrayaan 2 will be launched in 2017 towards the moon while Aditya mission will be ISRO’s attempt to probe the sun further. Aditya-1 will be the first satellite specifically designed to study the sun’s corona.

the article contains just one line... i have been hearing isro boast about "human flight missions" for many years... they just tested a little test piece i think in 2013... that is all.

my dear sir, how has this waste of space called isro ever helped prevent farmer/student suicide, "honor" killings, death by hunger etc.

and why would any western nation need these "fine people" of isro??

So what ..... they spend their time doing idolatry

correct.

chief of isro...

from ( Tirupati and Mars mission: Rationalists cry foul over Isro chief's temple visit - Firstpost )...
According to IBNLive, Narendra Nayak, President of Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations (FIRA), said in a statement, "We strongly condemn the attitude of the Chairman of ISRO K Radhakrishnan who has insulted the Constitution of India by placing the replica of the satellite meant for the Mars mission at the feet of a deity at Tirupati. He is unfit to occupy the position of the head of the space mission and should be immediately sacked."

@jamahir , did SpaceX start from scratch ??

yes.

ISRO is working on Telescope satellite also

How about you enter India and its Internet where ever you go. Just WIFI free India. That's something to boast about.
my router will become scrap :hitwall:

I dont know about the current programmes of Akashavani or AIR.
But I have been heard about the newsin our language in AIR where they explains the locations to fishermens where the fish is plenty.
Do you know how they got that ?
Dont tell me the Space X or the ghost of gaddafi notified them that precise locations.

How could the government and IMD manage the evacuation of coastal areas even before the landing of Cyclone Phailin ?

It was certainly not Djinn .Right?

Same goes to the climate ,weather pattern ,crop pattern etc which is helpful in reducing farmers death for a great extent.

That man former chief of ISRO Dr Radhakrishnan had two choices when he meritoriously passed Engineering from a Govt College in Kerala.
One was in ISRO as a scientific assistant for 250rs salary and other was from IBM ,an American Computer Giant and salary wasseveral thousand dollars at that time.

It would have been a luxurious ,celebrity life for Radhakrishnan if it was IBM .

Now tellme how Space X helped in reducing calamities and poverty in these World ?

Great
Another thread down the libyan/socialist/jamahiriyan drain/gutter/nullah.

Somebody please explain to me what Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, and its founder Elon Musk (Net worth

US$12.7 Billion (May 2015))
have anything to do with libyan/socialist/jamahiriya

where did i mention libya?? :azn:

and i don't understand mba-type language but from ( SpaceX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )...
In 2012, an initial public offering (IPO) was perceived as possible by the end of 2013,[15] but then Musk stated in June 2013 that he planned to hold off any potential IPO until after the "Mars Colonial Transporter is flying regularly,"[16] and this was reiterated in 2015 indicating that it would be many years before SpaceX would become a publicly-traded company.[17]

agreed that it was not jinns or ghost of gaddafi or spacex, but dedicating 99 percent of missions to launching satellites hasn't helped india either.

could these "remote sensing satellites" and "weather predicting supercomputers" prevent the countless farmers who suicided??

let's be practical and not be swept away in nationalist sentiment.

That man former chief of ISRO Dr Radhakrishnan had two choices when he meritoriously passed Engineering from a Govt College in Kerala.

(a). obviously, he must have seen wonder and potential in a space agency rather than in a purely computing company, (b). being chief of isro is one thing but where are the humans in space that isro has been promising for so many years??

in the 70's, the chinese had a space program but they discarded it either for military reasons or for pursuing the "reforms"... but even they picked up human space-flight quickly and have now sent five people to space... and they have their own space station program, of which one module is already in space.

Now tellme how Space X helped in reducing calamities and poverty in these World ?

poverty is because of wrong political systems, of which india has a extreme type... what does spacex have to do with suiciding farmers of india??

and unless spacex is thinking about "weather control" of earthern atmosphere, i don't see how it can prevent atmospheric events leading to calamities.

but spacex has much to do with a more scientific human future.
