New Delhi could have anti-missile shield by 2014

we really need missiles that can intercept missiles of the 3,000km+ range for Pakistan but against China we need missiles that can intercept targets up to 8,000km away the Russian S-500 would easily be good for that

S-500 is one potent piece of kit but Russians are experiancing a few technical hiccups but they should get resolved.

if we get S-500 missiles from Russia any missile threat would be gone as the S-500 is designed to intercept ICBM's that travel at 7km per sec

my choice for National missile defense would be the S-500

for theater defense against SRBM's,MRBM's and IRBM's i'd go with the indigenous AAD/PDV/PAD/AD-1/AD-2 and if we can the Arrow missile system

for battle field defense against tactical nukes the AAD (mobile) would be a good defense or we could use S-300 or buy patriot PAC-3 missiles

In scanerio of WAR India can always buy off shelve items as it did during Kargil war when they brought isreali goods.
Don't forget we have more than $300+ billion in reserve.

PAC- 3 missile and S - 500 if deployed can protect any Indian cities.

Any Missile firing sequence can be picked up by Indian satellite, we know some the missile position and storage facilities...
We will get support from Russian and Isreali satellite image on any movement on this areas.

CIA need to share information with Mossad and Mossad with RAW.... we have lots of Itell movement before any scanerio.

2014 means 2020, as per track record of DRDO. And, they can only deploy for New Delhi. Don't understand what they are doing last 10 years. What India needs Threate missile defence to protect all Western and Norther borders.

Well not here to protect DRDO but this is one system which even our political class is desparately waiting for....Such systems gives you an edge over the enemy even at diplomatic levels...So rest assured there will be no non-technical delays in this particular case...
