Nepal mulls action against Indian envoy alleging interference

Looks like another J N Dixit.. Dixit was the Indian high commissioner to Sri Lanka in the 80's.. For those who dont now.. He was instrumental in the Indian role of creating LTTE and saving them numerous times through intervention in SL, Plus creating chaos

Indians need to realize their boogie man would be China but for every other South Asian nation from the main threat to their sovereignty has been India.. It's delusional to think that majority of the people in these countries have a positive out look of India given it's history, Even some govts though sometimes seem passive in their outlook are always wary of India
LTTE was partly created by India, but other part, which is as important, is the complete disregard for minority by majority singhalese. Indians who champion majoritarianism here in their own country should look at sri lanka and learn not to marginalize any community.

Nepal has already recalled it's envoy to Delhi and canceled her president visit to India at the vary last hour. A smack in teeth for India by a tiny neighbouring country. Nepalese are surely standing up against Indian bullying.

I am not sure why Pakistan is not utilising this strong anti India wave in Nepal to get stranglehold there and use Nepalese territory to run anti India campaign, just like India is using Afghanistan against us.

Its because too many Nepali people are reliant on India for employment and livelihoods and therefore have no ill-will to her. 50% of Nepalis are direct blood brothers of India to begin with (basically Hindi speakers living in Nepal) and we just add on top of that from there. Thats the reason there is an open border policy between India and Nepal.

Nepalis overall will never be antagonistic towards India in any serious way....they know better than to bite the hand that feeds them.

Pakistan don't wanna go down the path you are suggesting. It can't handle the repercussons of a tit for tat policy from your western border or other. Whatever your army is making most Pakistanis believe about Indian involvement in your mess.
India can play that game far better than Pakistan. So I would suggest to keep it to tactical nukes, thunders and what not.

Replace Nepal with Afghanistan, and you will find every single thing you said true with regards to the Pakistan-Afghan equation. Those "blood relations" can take back seat in geo politics.

Nepal is ripe for Pakistan to use it against India proper. Only if our secret services are taking note of this current situation in Nepal.

Tit of tat you said? Using Nepal against India would be our prefect tit for tat. India has been using Afghanistan in post 9/11 era to spread terrorism inside Pakistan, and it will only fair if we return the favor.

Dont think yourself highly, it just matter of time when we clean Afghanistan of Indian presence and secure our western flanks. Revenge and vengeance is in our nature and we will make sure we pay back with interest.

But there is a striking difference between the interviews of Afghan people about Pakistan and interviews of Nepali people about India.

Do Afghanistan and Pakistan have an officially open border? Nepalis are welcomed into India with no restriction, they are not settled in any refugee camps....rather they are treated as any other Indian....and there is no restriction of quota to the number of jobs they can take within India. Nepal is very much part of Indian nation, a de facto Indian state with a separate political system.

There is no stereotyping of Nepalis as drug abusers and child molesters like there is in Pakistan for Afghans.....and there is no call by Indians (even politicians) to change the arrangement with Nepal and deport Nepalis and seal the border.

Nepali govt has never outright accused India of being a sponsor of Terrorism in Nepal like Afghanistan has done for Pakistan on countless occasions. Neither does India have something the equivalent of the Taliban used as state policy to try control Nepal ideologically and politically.

This all has an effect on Nepali people themselves. Why do you think the Indian Army Gorkha regiments to this day are enthusiastically applied for in Nepal?

Is the Afghan army chief also made honorary army chief of Pakistan and vice versa....like is done between India and Nepal?

You really think Pakistani secret services haven't tried something in Nepal and realised quite quickly what they are up against? They (ISI and co) are in a far better position to judge the reality themselves than you sitting at home.....so the situation on the ground is clear indication of the difference between India/Nepal and Pak/Afghanistan.

There is simply no sanctuary for that level of ideology in Nepal, neither will there ever be.

Looks more like oli is desperate again ,the madashis have been pushing his government into a corner . Their government is incompetent and lack the funds to resolve all the problems since the earthquake last year , they are just playing a another diplomatic card , this will go on till India gives some subsidy agreement that was temporarily given during the 06 crisis.Considering India just a billion dollar in aid , I'm not holding my breath for any more charity . Let them cry .

There is no difference at all in how Pakistan has got huge leverages over Afghanistan just like India got over Nepal. There is registered 3 million Afghans livings in Pakistan since last three decades and unregistered figure is actually much bigger. Every day 60 thousand Afghans cross over into Pakistan without any visa or documents from just one single border post. Afghans ownes business, real estates from Karachi to Khyber. Families ties run deep across the border. Pakistani currency is traded inside Afghanistan. Pakistan provide life line to Afghan trade and live stocks. Pakistan never blocked the trade route for Afghanistan despite a hostile kabul regime, mind you India just recently blocked trade lines of "brotherly" Nepal flaunting the international law that trade of a land locked country must not be blocked.

Pakistan Afghanistan linkages are much much deeper then India Nepal could ever be. Yet we got a kabul regime which is anti Pakistan and spewing non sense against Pakistan 24*7.

On personal level I have come across many Nepalese who hate India. Perhaps the true reflection of how the current Nepalese government is dealing with India.

Point is, it doesn't matter what India has done for Nepal in past, we are talking about present and we got a Nepalese elected government which is clearly anti India. And when there is smoke, there is fire. We in Pakistan just have put oil over it just like what India has been doing in Afghanistan since 9/11 after ridding on uncle Sam shoulder.

Tell me when Pakistan opens up the level of consulates in Nepal that India has in Afghanistan.

Also you may want to watch:

So worst case scenario most educated, somewhat affluent Kathmandu Nepalis (which overall tend to be more against India than Nepali average)....make a clear distinction between Indian people (who they generally like or are neutral or have no problems with) and Indian govt (who they generally dont like along with their own govt).

So anyone that has actually been to Nepal (like I have) will just laugh at you trying to portray Nepalis as some anti-Indian people who hate India as a country....when we know we can immediately count on 50% of Nepalis by default to support India strongly (blood brother Madhesis and similar tribes)....knowing the rest are split in their verdict of India by different degrees in a more complicated way....but certainly will not give any sanctuary to anti-Indian elements which will just backfire on them immensely.

But you can live in denial and keep attributing it to Pakistan intelligence failure/lethargy. It doesn't concern us.

Now you can go search on youtube "Afghan opinions on Pakistan" and see for yourself the difference.

India - Afghanistan relations will only be further consolidated through Chabahar project.

As for Nepalis opinion on Pakistan....and Pakistans trade, cultural and economic contact with Nepal....the less said the better :D

Pakistan's ISI can cause no damage between India and Nepal as much as our JNU can. A lot of Nepali political leaders are alumni of JNU and it is from there that they have learnt to be ungrateful and spiteful of India. JNU is the den of corruption and the originator of all bad ideas.

Listen sunshine, I would better advise you to keep your propaganda on youtube to youself , for us the Pakistanis it really not worth wasting our time. We are resourceful enough to do our own investigation, and if you missed my post earlier, on personal account, I have meet many Nepalese here in UK, including the Gurkhas who hate India with passion. Enjoy!!

Where were you in Afghanistan before the 9/11? How many consulate you had there before 9/11. Riding on uncle sam shoulder and firing your guns at Pakistan while hiding behind yanks tells a lot about your own strengths to us. Rest assured when yanks leave Afghanistan, you lot will pack your bags the next day or will come in bags the next day, either way work for us here in Pakistan.

What you see in Afghanistan is a artificially created environment which got nothing to do with ground reality. Post 9/11 Afghanistan was a facade which is gradually coming back to reality. Let me educate you. Afghan nation is a majority Pakhtoon. However, there are more Pakhtoon in Pakistan then anywhere in the world, including Afghanistan itself. Hell, there are more Pakhtoons is Karachi then in Kabul, and Karachi is not even part of KPK Provence! By this , we exert influence on Afghanistan not by design but by default. But when you have the super power with all its might and all her western allies fighting against Paktoons (Taliban) for last decade, installing a puppet government of non Pakhtoon farsawani lot, aka northern alliance, this false and pathetic perception is being generated , ofcourse with lot of propaganda and deception, that Afghans hate Pakistan. But dont worry, things will be back to normal, and regular service will resume soon. But the important thing is, which you must always remember, you the Indians are nothing on your own, its the uncle sam joyride which is letting you do all terrorism inside Pakistan using Afghan soil.

Now coming to Nepal, we have no super power which is against India, occupying Nepal. People are free and expressing their free will. And with this background, an elected Nepalese government is showing very strong Anti Indian sentiments. Mind you, Nepalese government are not puppet of America or any other power , unlike Kabul regime, so there is no chance of them speaking from someone else hymn sheet. If they are taking anti India stance, that means something is genuine wrong between Nepal and India.

Taking things further, Nepal is now opening up to China.

And with Chinese ingress there, it should be taken by default that Pakistani ingress will follow, if we are already not present there, which I believe we are. Just like India got into Afghanistan after yanks occupied that country.

As I said earlier, in geopolitics, blood or past relations hardly matter. Keep on deluding yourself that Nepalese are some sort of your nation extension. A foolish and deluded enemy is a blessing in disguise.

So did you watch the video :P?

As for Nepal - China recent political bonhomie, you may want to read this thread too:

We will have to agree to disagree if you think Afghanistan/Pak is a parallel situation to Nepal/India.....not when regular Nepalese at worst disagree/dislike Indian govt (but also their own) but generally are friendly to or love India. They segregate politics from everything else....and the everything else stems immensely from India.

Nepal has always stood for Sikkim and Darjeeling being a part of it.
