In Delhi for a three-day visit, Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik said that he has brought a message of peace to India. Stating that Pakistan has always condemned terrorism, Malik said that Pakistan was a victim of terror too, given that "40,000 innocent Pakistanis lost their lives due to terror".

However, Malik expressed satisfaction that the Indo-Pak ties were better now.

We have categorically stated that Pakistan and India have to respect court orders, Malik said on Mumbai attack case.

Further, stating that Ajmal Kasab's statement was not enough proof of Pakistan's hand in the Mumbai attacks, Malik said he would act on Hafiz Saeed if there was enough evidence.

Speaking about jawan Saurabh Kalia who was allegedly tortured by Pakistani solders during the Kargil war, he said that while he didn't know whether a Pakistani bullet killed Kalia, it was regrettable and he didn't want such incidents to be repeated.

Malik arrived in New Delhi on Friday on a long discussed three-day visit, the highlight of which is expected to be the implementation of a liberalised visa regime agreed to in September.

Malik was received at the technical area of Palam airport by minister of state for home RPN Singh.

The liberalised visa agreement, signed by then Indian external affairs minister SM Krishna and Malik in Islamabad Sep 8, is slated to become operational later in the day.
