You want miracles in months from the current govt.
we dont expect miracles like "clean water" rotti makkan or any of that as its way beyond their capacity..

Give the democratic process time and then we can see which is better
lol.. its like giving a kid with dyslexia chances after chances to pass a exam and that after failing 100 times!

I think it is time for the President to impose 58 2 (b) and dismiss the current government their incompetence is beyond grief and is hurting Pakistan severely inaction right now will be disastrous.

Our economy is sinking!

Our group held a procession in Karachi (at the Karachi press club) in support of the President. the next stop is Lahore on 25th August.. (If you want to join in call 0321 4999937).:pakistan:

I am so sorry to say that we as a nation are so ignorant that we are talking about impeachment ..guess what Do we really want Pakistan to be governed by Theif's again....Such a shame .
**** nation will suffer after Pres. Musharraf, As we can already see that has started.

What a co-incident! At least you won't be able to claim that it was a bogus poll. The problem with other forums and open polls is that even our bordering countries vote and write against Musharraf in disguise and here on this forum identities are pretty much known. so chances of faking id's is limited.
Remember Pakistan is as much of this forum members as much it is of non members.
Pakistan had elections and the people rejected pro mushy parties.
The guy had just under a decade to improve Pakistan but ended up fighting a civil war.
Correct your facts, pro Musharraf parties have got maximum vote! Elections were engineered by US when they use Sharif to make sure remaining parties abstain from elections and ordering Sharif to take part in last moment, just to legitimize pro-claimed democracy and it’s ancestoral owners.
Anyway, starting from early 2007 there was lot of anti Musharraf and army propaganda by local and foreign press! lot of hue and cry by Asma Jehangir and alikes, lot of foreign money was being poured into the Aitizaz movement supported by bomb blasts carried by foreign troops operating in disguise of Pakistani Taliban.
America pressurized Musharraf to pardon convicted criminals and allow them to return! Can this happen in any country of world?
In the whole decade no one labeled Musharraf as dictator, he won the popular referendum on holding two offices.
So you see all the civil war is engineered in foreign lands and sponsored by foreign money and plunderers and goofs were not difficult to find.
You want miracles in months from the current govt.
In months our rising economy has declined in record breaking fall. Our currency has been devalued on record lows. They promised better life to people while seeking votes but they failed to sustain the existing standards from past. No development plan has been laid out to the contrary existing industry is at the risk of closure. But they definitely have plans how to help indian industry grow. How to favor political activists. If decline of Pakistan economy continue at the present pace than at the end of 5 years there will be no Pakistan to rule. More days they rule more they harm Pakistan and it-s institutions.
Give the democratic process time and then we can see which is better ...dictatorship or democracy.
Democracy is not a plant which need's years to grow! It is a basic guide line of determining how to govern a state! If present govt. knows and believe on democracy then they should implement it from day one and it should bring us better results. Infect it failed miserably and there could only be two possible reasons:
1- Democracy is not good governance system, itself.
2- Either democracy was not implemented at all.
There is no time equation involved any where in any system of rule. Buy the book and implement the rules and it's as simple as that.

Don’t forget all those who support Musharraf is because of his leadership skills he displayed in his entire service towards Pakistan, be it in any outfit.
All those anti Musharraf forces have personal gains from his ouster.
What we need today is not impeachment of President, infect we need impeachment of assemblies by forcing them to seek vote of confidence from the very same people. 582b is the only option to initiate the right process.

For your information, Pakistan was made as a safe place for the muslims of hindustan, and islam does not support democracy, so democracy is already out when it comes to islam.[/QUOTE]

Let me rephrase it...representative govt

have you realized that these people are jahils and cant make decsions on their own.. give them free food in rallies and they follow you like sheep heard! thats why pakistan has never developed because of these people!!

Are the "sheep" and "jahils" the suppoters of democracy or dictatorship?

we dont expect miracles like "clean water" rotti makkan or any of that as its way beyond their capacity.. !!

And mushy has provided all the above has he?...even after having total power for so long.

lol.. its like giving a kid with dyslexia chances after chances to pass a exam and that after failing 100 times!

LOL...what even funnier is that the army has been in charge of the country for even longer then the democratic parties...but so blinded by you the great messiah of pakistan mushy that you cant see thats it them got us to this position.

Correct your facts, pro Musharraf parties have got maximum vote!.

So he will have no problem the impeachment process will he then........his party has got the maximum vote so he has no problem..has he?

Elections were engineered by US when they use Sharif to make sure remaining parties abstain from elections and ordering Sharif to take part in last moment, just to legitimize pro-claimed democracy and it’s ancestoral owners.!.

So it had nothing with mushy letting BB back into the country..........what ancestoral ownership are you talking about...Ns is from the businesss class not the feudals

America pressurized Musharraf to pardon convicted criminals and allow them to return!.!.

Lets get this straight the convicted crimminal was BB not NS.
The charges against NS where from mushy and can not be taken as true until there is a fair court case.
BB was convicted by a swiss court i think.

In the whole decade no one labeled Musharraf as dictator, he won the popular referendum on holding two offices.

Who was he standing against........has ever stood against another person in a election.....no.

So you see all the civil war is engineered in foreign lands and sponsored by foreign money and plunderers and goofs were not difficult to find..

And its got nothing to with mushy sending the army into FATA on the behest of the US.

Sadly you are mistaken. Educated people all over the world that I have met are Pro-Musharraf and despise these crooked politicians... unfortunately these understanding people do not out-number the ignorant & illiterate 50%.

In elections, out of 160 million people ONLY 27.5 million voted. Out of these 10 million voted for PPP, 8 million voted for PML-Q, 7 million voted for PML-N and 2.5 million for MQM.

We do not want miracles...atleast they could have kept the levels of economic achievements by PML-Q govt the same?

PPP government in 2 govts earlier DID NOT achieve anything.... what can they achieve NOW?? Rupee devalued.....foreign reserves evaporating...Stock exchangs falling daily.... exports stagnated....FDI halted.... inflation 30 years high....

I will only add that in days to come i can see only a Pakistan devestated by Its own rulers and by Alien Intrusions.

May GOD help us since we are no longer helping ourselves! Ironical that the answer is here itself... GOD never helps those who donot help themselves.

Hope is there to stay thou. Lets all Hope!

Which is just the impression of a radical.

Fiction: Pakistan rejected Musharraf

Fact: Pakistanis gave Musharraf 7.6 million votes, over a million more than Nawaz Sharif. Musharaf was the second most popular politician in the 2008 election.

Noone wants miracles from the current PPP. They just want a continuation of the trend set by Musharraf..which is a strong economy heading in a stronger direction. So far, within months, Zardari has managed to drain the economy of all promise.

=dabong1;184440]So he will have no problem the impeachment process will he then........his party has got the maximum vote so he has no problem..has he?

Maybe you don't wish to acknowledge the difference in total votes cast & seat allocation.

Yes, Musharraf did not act like a dictator ... and allowed the monarchy run party leaders back.

PPP Bhutto was groomed by military man Ayub Khan. Stayed as minister in military man's cabinet.

Ameer-ul-momineen Nawaz was brought back from Dubai by General Imtiaz, groomed by General Jillani and party (IJI) formed by Lt Gen Hameed Gul and son of General Zia-ul-haq.

Lets get this straight the convicted crimminal was BB not NS.
The charges against NS where from mushy and can not be taken as true until there is a fair court case. BB was convicted by a swiss court i think.

Nawaz was convicted by Supreme Court in 2000 (which included ex-CJP Iftikhar) which BANNED him to hold office for 21 years and imprisonment. The imprisonment was forgiven by Rafiq Tarar.

Also, all cases other than hijacking case was made upon Nawaz in era of PPP and NOT musharraf and he's been convicted in many. Hadibia mills case, helicopter case, tax evasion...all before Musharraf.

And its got nothing to with mushy sending the army into FATA on the behest of the US.

Why doesn't PPP govt withdraw the forces now from FATA against wishes of USA???

Read the news...its the same around the world........all countries are facing a slowdown not just pakistan.

This is the most pathetic excuse to hide one's incompetence and rid oneself of the duty to govern.

USA and Europe GDP growth has been average 2% since 5-6 years now. But, Pakistan's economy was growing at 7%. What happened after 18 Feb?

KHI stock exchange has been cited as best performing stock exchange 2002 & 2007. When world markets faced recession, KSE lost only 2%. What happened after 18 feb?

Musharraf never used this excuse .... when the EU & USA economies were avergaing 2% .... why PAK wasn't averaging 2% and why it boomed to 7% ?

Why was Pakistan being labelled and singled out as being the world's next Top-10 economies of world out of the 180 countries of world? Why was it Pakistan and not EU ?

In DailyTimes of 12 August, “The rupee continues to weaken not only because of weak economic fundamentals, but also because the political scenario is confidence-shaking,” said another banker

SHANGHAI: China’s foreign exchange reserves rose to $1.76 trillion at the end of April 2008.

Japan’s foreign reserves increased $996.975 billion at the end of May 2008.

Malaysia’s foreign reserves increased to become $125.2 billion as at May 30, 2008.

India's foreign reserves increased by US $ 110.5 billion during 2007-08 to US $ 309.7 billion. As on July 18, 2008, India’s foreign exchange reserves were US $ 307.1 billion.

Pakistan's decreased by above 40% to fall at $9 billion from $16 billion, in just 5 months.

So, its not happening all over Asia!

Neighbouring India's economy is till growing at 9% and hasn't stumbled. Why has PAK's economy stumbled from 7.5% to expected 5% after 18 Feb?

So, its NOT happening all over!

I say again,if the democratic process had been allowed to continue uninterrupted since independence pakistan would not be where it is now.

Right Pakistan would not have existed.

The guy is a second rate general who took power by force.......get rid

Second rate? Armed forces also have categories to promote their Generals? :what:

Ah, but you're forgetting that Mr 10% just loves FOREX! Looks like the wealth of Pakistan's economy has already been looted within months

Good post

"Since the new government took office, there have been alarming levels of capital flight. Foreign investors began to pull out in the days after former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination. "But mainly it has been due to the weakening of the rupee," says M. Ziauddin, a specialist writer on economic affairs for Dawn newspapers. "People clearly wanted to save their dollars." "Right now there seems to be a crisis of confidence," says Nazar, the economic commentator. "There are serious questions about the leadership. The president is disinterested, and the political leadership [Zardari and Sharif] is out of the country. But it is also a question of competence. The crisis over the sacked judges [which sped protests that led to Musharraf's downfall] and the coalition's internal disputes have left the economy ignored."

Although I am a bit late and also voted NO. But I do believe that Musharraf must have to go. And thanks, he already decided to go.
