KABUL (INTERFAX.RU): – Representatives of six countries, including Russia, have been invited to the inauguration ceremony of the new government of Afghanistan. This was announced on Twitter on Wednesday by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the country.

“We have officially invited representatives of six countries to announce the new government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan – China, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, Russia and Iran,” he wrote.

The day before , Zabiullah Mujahid, a representative of the Taliban movement, announced appointments in the new government of Afghanistan.

At a press conference, Mujahid said that Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund would become the head of the new government, and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar would be his deputy.

The post of Interior Minister will be taken by Sirajuddin Haqqani, and Amir Khan Muttaki will become the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Mullah Mohammad Yakub will receive the post of Minister of Defense. The Ministry of Justice will be headed by Abdul Hakim.

The representative of the Taliban movement Muhammad Naim, in turn, tweeted that Hidayatullah Badri will become Minister of Finance, Mullah Khairullah Khairhwa – Minister of Information and Culture.

Earlier, the Taliban said that the new government of Afghanistan would be inclusive, but only representatives of the Taliban entered the cabinet

I think china and pakistan would send high diplomats of foreign secretary maybe.
It would be difficult in this time to attend so openly specially pakistan because there is a negative sentiment there.

We should ignore the threat of negative sentiment this sort of thinking has held us back from making a stand and asserting our rights.

These are all the important nations for them - especially the 4 neighbors

Get your neighborhood as a priority

FM and opposition leader of the parliament should be sent from Pakistan.

The USA, France, Britain, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Central Asian countries, all should be invited.

Opposition leader can stay there permanently.

by sending opposition leader, it would be imply that both governing and opposition parties in Pakistan look forward to a new chapter in Afghanistan.

Interesting. Today, I heard a WH press conf where the spokeswoman described Taliban as "Professional and Businesslike". This selection of ONLY 6 countries tells me they are wanting to only work closely with the nations who'd give them economic boost, thus making a block of neighbors it seems (China, Russia, Pakistan, and Iran). I guess that is very business like....

And the logic behind ignoring Saudia while inviting Iran is?
