can it be the stealthy variant of JFT... MOU signed during the england air show?

everything is possible nowadayz...if US/russianz can make stealth ...then why not chinese can make it!...Alhamdolillah Pak-china programz r great...and tit for tat to the evil west:coffee:

We r talking abt a possiablr JFT Block-II.Many new goodies are thought to be added to it.
Some engineer working for PAC claims BLK-II to be equilent to Gripen NG.

Any source............
We cant get any thing from MRCA compeetors untill India descides MRCA winner.

he means that tech level of JFT II will be comparable to Grippen NG, not that JFT will have techs from Grippen NG

MMRCA planes start at $50m each for the F16IN & Gripen ng

Rising to $90m each for Typhoon & Rafael.

Compare that to $15m each for Thunder & $30m each for FC20.

aLL THE MMRCA options are available to PAF today regardless of india or MMRCA competion.

The problem is financing the deal.

eg Sweden sold AWACS ro PAF so why not Gripen NG.
F16/52 came from USA so why not F16IN.

WE ARE CREATING OBSTACLES that don,t exist. And ignoring the obvious ones like financial meltdown of Pakistan Economy.

yaar how many times we it has been discussed that PAF's primary aim for JFT is fleet replacement and modernization....it is not in the MRCA contest....yet I dont understand why do people fail to consider this basic fact while posting.:hitwall:

This looks more like a concept plane than a real flying prototype...

Why did the Eurofighter designers did not go for stealth? instead they went for super maneuverability.
May be stealth is not the only way forward..there are other options in aircraft design which more than compensate for stealth

They could have gone actually, but the problem with multi-partner programs like typhoon is that you cant simply implement you're innovation unilaterally. As per MHUnderstanding, the parameters of typhoon program were fixed at the beginning and were not allowed to change during the development phase. It is believed that typhoon could be a more potent AC had the updates and redesign been allowed to implement.

If it is true than.......what possibly could be the power plant?

9 hardpoints?

The point is if the hardpoints were used for carrying bombs or cruise missiles as the are used on the F-35, I wouldn't have said anything. What I am confused about is why AA missiles are carried externally since if the fighter is on a AA mission stealth will be a priority.

Yea that plus 2 extra hard points as opposed to JF-17's 7.

Maybe the RCS is low even with the AA, because AA missiles don't have a big RCS. Yes cruise missiles do.

But then as each AA missile is fired, the overall RCS of the flying structure would go down, won't it?

Yes opening up the missile bay during firing will increase the RCS by a good deal. However as long as the missile bay doesn't get jammed detection won't be a serious issue.

Could this be the design of JF-17 Block II?
