Sorry I don't have much time left for this thread today because I have already spent over 4 hours in compiling information. Funny thing is what I have posted does not even cover 10% of Indonesian defence industry, so imagine how long it would take to compile information on the entire Muslim World's defence industry.

Muslims should seriously invest in marketing their products, to investigate the capabilities of the military industrial complex of various Muslim countries and finally, carry out collaborative/joint R&D for military and non-military products and services alike. One good example of such collaboration in the Muslim world is the one between Abu Dhabi's ADCOM Systems and Malaysia's CTRM/others to produce the Yabhon Aludra MALE-UAV.

The South Korean Coast Guard has taken delivery of its fourth and final Dirgantara Indonesia/Airbus Military CN-235 maritime patrol aircraft (MPA).

The first two aircraft were delivered in May 2011 and the third in December 2011, said Dirgantara Indonesia in a statement.

South Korea ordered the four aircraft under a 2008 deal worth $94.5 million.

The four aircraft are equipped with a search radar, a forward-looking infrared (FLIR) sensor, an identification friend or foe (IFF) interrogator and other equipment for the MPA mission.

Aside from the Coast Guard, the Republic of Korea Air Force operates eight CN-235s. Of these, six are configured as military transports and two as VIP aircraft.

A report in Indonesia's Jakarta Post quotes Dirgantara Indonesia spokesman Sonny Saleh as saying that South Korea has options for eight additional CN-235 aircraft.
