These should work in trio each having a single dedicated function one with air defense one with anti ship and one with anti sub role .These pack of three should be taken as one ship under one command. we should endogenously produced and in large numbers.

A bit smaller than it should be for PN's needs. Also a bit more expensive (costs almost the same as Azmat class which is much bigger). The key issue with such small boats is that they can't operate in higher sea states (when seas are rough). This limits if and when it can be used.

On the other hand, it is very hard to target such ships with large supersonic cruise missiles like the Brahmos. Because of its small size and high speed, even without any air defense, it is very hard to hit them with those big missiles.

Though Azmat class classified FAC it's not so fast . I just wonder why don't you go for Turkish MRT 55 FAC which can go as as as 50+ not miles.

Because they can't operate in high sea .Pakistan looks for something that can go that far as well as cheap like Azmat class.

Hello.

To give you the dynamics the Naval war that will be fought in Arabian sea will not be like a conventional Naval war. The best weapon to fight a Naval war in the straight of Harmuz will be a mini sub. The range of torpedoes is very less compared to Naval missiles thus any Naval ship will have to come very close to it's enemy to dominate and this will provide coastal batteries well lit targets. If you can understand what I mean.

 

[CHI RULES]

The Type 022 Hobei Class is much stealthier have tough structure and can be armed with 8 ASHMS along with manpads, AK630, speed of 36 Knots. If fielded in numbers these can strengthen last line of defence of PN. Looks to be more stealthy design so can be developed in higher tonnage FAC just like Azmat class for future needs.

Another option could be to go for WiG craft, if you are looking for speed. They would be even faster, and nearly impossible to hit with AShMs
