The DAS is about giving the pilot a 360 view, correct?
Why is DAS so revolutionary in combat? Cause, if you cannot point the radar in the said direction, anyway you cannot launch correct?

There is a traditional 360 degree view and then there is a 360 degree view / situational awareness through DAS. DAS can detect a missile's after burn from over 600 miles away.......imagine the revolution and the possibilities. You are no longer limited by how far your radar can see and you can see everything within your mission's profile into the enemy's terriroty.
