Madinah court sentences six Pakistanis for disrespecting Masjid-e-Nabwi

The sanctity of such holy places is brought into question, when murderers, looters, sexual predators, tax evaders, suppressors of people, walk under guard, not when people raise their voice against them and their acts on the outside of the mosque. Shameful state of affairs for the Muslim Ummah. We worship and hold in esteem the acts of religiosity, not the core construct and tenants of our religion. Sad.

Couldn't have said it any better.

Six Pakistanis were found guilty of disrespecting Masjid-e-Nabwi (the Prophet’s Mosque) by shouting slogan during the visit of Pakistani ministers in April last.

The Madinah court awarded sentence of 10 years imprisonment and slapped of 20,000 Riyals fine for disrespecting Masjid-e-Nabwi (the Prophet’s Mosque).

Earlier in April, Tahir Ashrafi, a PM advisor, had said that six Pakistanis had been detained by the Saudi government for disrespecting the Prophet’s mosque by shouting slogans and hackling federal ministers who were visiting the country as part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s team.

Two days ago, a Madinah court sentenced them to prison, said Ashrafi.

Three of the accused were sentenced to 10 years in prison, each. Rest were handed eight years imprisonment, he said.

Those who have been sentenced to 10 years include Ans, Irshad and Muhammad Saleem. Others have been identified as Khawaja Luqman, Muhammad Afzala nd Ghulam Muhammad.

The court imposed fine of 20,000 Riyals on each of them and has confiscated their mobile phones.

Masjid-e-Nabwi incident
Several Pakistani pilgrims heckled federal ministers Marriyum Aurangzeb and Shahzain Bugti at Prophet’s Mosque after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif landed in Medina to start his three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia.

In a viral video, a group of men who encircled the federal ministers, while they were being escorted inside the mosque, used profanities against them for ousting Imran Khan and its government through a no-confidence motion.

Later on, the Saudi authorities confirmed that they had arrested some Pakistani pilgrims on suspicion of being involved in the incident and started the investigation.
But jews are allowed in Madinah and Makkah...

one should be willing to go back and look into how this culture and that up bringing either religious or ethical develop in people.

a statement is an escape route but one has to debate and narrate to at least what is good for people to know and learn something from.

isn't it state's responsibility to provide education but when people are forced into a certain standard or medium of education which one cannot escape what does parents do?

they can only guide their kids in the name of good upbringing at home, they can educate them with their limited knowledge of religion but a kid has to fight his own war once he leave the house because it is enforced upon him. but where is state who is responsible to provide not only quality education but also has to take a massive part in grooming a child by providing environment.

only then one should talk about ethics, we people of Pakistan are not some breed out of this universe who can't follow the masses. we see children behaving when we see them crossing a road, bin the trash, behave in every aspect of life in the developed world, give them same environment and watch.

and don't blame parents when they themselves are the product of same system then what do you expect from a tunnel mind they'll bring their children up against all odds. it is always opportunities that are provided which help develop a modern society.

a suppressed nation will always behave like what happened in Majid-e-Nabvi, they simply vent their anger out against them with all the privileges they don't justify. putting blame is so easy whereas nobody looks into circumstances and then sentencing them?

what do one expect from a society that lack vision and is totally based on political understanding but is veiled with religion which is deceptive to even their own people let alone expatriates. the result of which is they can't dare touch a "gora" and we talk about justice system they have?

we have examples and many, where Caliphs and wise men of this very religion of the holy land did justice to the convicted on circumstantial grounds, this require vision and dignity which is lacking.

now don't question me why we lack this vision when everyone knows either ruling the country or providing justice or defending the borders or even expanding the vision, culprits are sitting at every place.

then people are blamed when they call out same culprits no matter what.
What to say of those who are not taught respect :( sometimes its expected that a literate person is supposed to be respectful, but then again, where is respect taught ? The first learning place is mothers lap. Then father and relatives and friends, school and teachers, then culture formed of values, religion, neighborhood, country but then everyone has to go in their own grave.

One would be very happy if munkeer nakeer accept all reasons and excuses and blaming everything but ownself and easily let the individual rest in peace.

they are not taught anything and you are talking about respect but who to blame. a mother does or a father provide what they can, what they cannot do, is provide an environment out of their house.

then again as i said where parents are from the same system they even if try cannot do wonders. every parent know right and wrong and almost everyone of them want their children brought up good but either they lack vision or are surrendered to the system.

it depends what define a literate person in a certain society.

What makes you think that the angry man's threat to murder is proper Islamic example of behaviour. It's not. There is no example like that in the Quran.

It's Umar RA's response to the act that makes me think that there was nothing un-Islamic or disrespectful about it. He said:

"Great Allah, I offer you my thanks that there is no dearth of men among the faithful who have the courage to lift the sword even against the head of Umar when he deviates from the Truth."

I believe he knew much more about Islam and sanctity of the Haram than the likes of Al e Saud.

Makkah and Madinah are occupied territory , been occupied since the fall of the khilafat.
you can expect such sentences from the occupiers, no difference to say , palestinians given prison sentences by israeli courts.

Good, no place for politics in the holly places.

Those Pakistanis should be ashamed and good lesson for everyone.
What do you mean by no politics in holy places ?

The Prophet organized the first political body of Muslims in Madinah ( which is the entire holy mosque at the present moment ). Political affairs were handled in the Prophets mosque during the lifetime of Prophet and the three succeeding Caliphs

Infact, there's no better place to raise your voice for justice and political rights than the house of God ( mosque )

We have over million people visiting the Madinah and Makkah. Now imagine if majority start raising voice for justice and start protesting, utter chaos. .

We also don’t live under a caliphate, protesting in Makkah and Madinah won’t solve issues back home. Every single Muslim country is independent, how will those protest help the cause? You want Saudi king to take action and reach out to those countries to solve their issue?

Do explain to me, how these acts solve the issue. Which would you pick? Protest in front of corrupt politicians houses or the holy places.

Majority Muslim countries have corrupt politicians, let’s invite everyone to protest in Makkah and Madinah.

If an old woman can stand in the middle of Umar RA's khutba in masjid e nabwi and call him out on his perceived excesses, why can't the confirmed and convicted thieves of Sharif clan.

All of these reasons are weak. Here's a good reason. It's against the law. We should obey the law of the country we reside in

I was criticizing your reason for not protesting in a mosque. It's a common misconception that we should not discuss politics in the mosque.

We keep saying it was the Mosque. It was not the Mosque. It is an area well outside of the mosque.

Prophet Muhammed pbuh was the first political figure of Muslims himself. He never seperated religion from politics and never sacrificed religious values for politics. A complex issue, please for sake of whatever you believe in, don't talk about something that you don't know anything about. It not only makes you look like an illiterate mob but also makes you ignorant to the truth. We are responsoble for our claims.

I don't know about this incident in the holy place but what you said reminds me of those ignorants who deny the solid facts.

Your points are correct.

When you enter any thread to post, there are giveaways which you can observe as that tells you about the audience and posters you will encounter. Lets talk about this thread.

OP is a political minded individual who propagates PMLN agenda. His main reason of posting had nothing to do with Masjid-e-nabwi or its sanctity. He felt this news shows some sort of PMLN victory against the people who raise voice against the party.

So from the onset, a political stage is set. Those against PMLN will jump in and comment especially PTI supporters. They will take out a point or two from the whole narrative and contradict it. This the is political mentality. You will find the same members in other political threads speaking against PMLN and promoting PTI.

Then there is a usual hatred against the royals of KSA. The center of Islam is not being " run" as it should be. It has been hijacked and the rulers of KSA are slaves of USA. This is where Iranian members will also jump in to throw dirt on KSA by picking any point they can get hold of.

Next comes the important factor of "religious discussion on PDF". Copy paste ayats, hadiths etc to prove a point. Obviously no one would refute those but the context is important. Here one member will have context A and staunchly support that, other member will have context B and defend it. Both will be talking about different contexts but trying to prove other wrong. Eventually mods will close the thread but Op's objective of glorifying his party would have been achieved by then.

One could say that instead of chanting slogans, those idiots could have offered salah and prayed to Allah in their hearts to get Pakistan rid of unwanted rulers. This is the concept of DUA, to seek from Allah which is given to us as a blessing after every salah because Allah listens and grants. I wouldn't comment if Allah grants also when somebody is hurling labels on other persons, Allah knows better. But that is pure frustration. So now we have members who want to defend frustrations of these people.

This is also about law of the land. Dislike the Royals of KSA ? Then talks against their law also, thats another mentality. I dislike KSA rulers so I dislike their laws, just giving an example, you will find that mentality here also. Why doesnt someone point out the advocacy services granted by kSA courts to the accused. No one discussed that. There are many who will blindly say that KSA laws are against Pakistanis. Well Pakistanis have been proving themselves saints and angels since they entered the gulf so the reputation upholds.

Another point is that Hazrat Muhammad SAW or the caliphs or Islamic history such and such was done back then. Masjid has to be used for politics then. This has nothing to do with the topic, but it has to be forcibly connected to prove a point. As lame as this thinking sounds, it exists. Common sense should exist. Now there is parliament, senate etc which are 100% political stage grounds, so spare the mosque. but NAHI, islamic history shows that so we have to do that now ! Well, try it and enjoy the results.

Lastly, my point, "Respect". I can write a whole topic on it but respect to dil mein honi chaiye, zaban pe nahi. The truth is, what is in your heart is mostly on your tongue and in your actions, unless the person is a hypocrite or munafiq.

If you want to argue with these learned members, by all means, go ahead and do it. Sometimes an idiot beats you by experience, other times a Mullah wins the last word by quoting ayats and hadiths. but remember the wise observe .

In Haj , Muslims are taught when you see Iblees or Shaytan ,hit him with Kankar

So how can any Patriotic Muslim from Pakistan , can see a Iblees like Sharif clan or PDM bastards in Makkah or Medina

Worshipper of Iblees , love money , wealth and life style hitting them or minimum demonstrating them is a "Must"

When Muslims see Iblees , the correct behavior is hit him with the Kankar
Minimum form of resistance is speaking out
