WASHINGTON, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin has received a $133.4 million contract modification to produce two U.S. government-configured C-130J-30 aircraft for France.
Work on the contract will be performed at Marietta, Ga. U.S. government officials expect the work to be done by Aug. 30, 2020. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is listed as the contracting activity.
All funding for the project supports the U.S. government's foreign military sale to France.
The C-130J-30, also known as the Super Hercules, is a stretched-out version of the C-130J military transport plane. The larger model adds 15 feet to the fuselage and increases usable space, making more room for cargo.
