In Saxony two Libyan asylum seekers attacked a shop assistant with pepper spray and machete, threatened him with beheading. But it will not have any effect on their asylum case running in the local court.

In Saxony an asylum seeker from Libya threatened a supermarket employee with beheading. The incident does not affect his asylum proceedings. Local politicians are appalled. Now, the interior minister of the country reacts.

BerlinIn Saxony a debate on the handling of criminal asylum seekers is kindled. Background is a case where two applicants have threatened in the Saxon university city of Freiberg in a net market a worker with pepper spray and a machete. One of the attackers, a 27-year-old Libyan, the police could arrest. The other suspects remains on the run.

For excitement now ensures that the operation will have no impact on the asylum procedure of the men involved. "The population - and this also I count myself - understands and accepts no such thing," said the SPD mayor of the small Saxon town of Hainichen, Dieter Grey Singer, in a Handelsblatt present email to the CDU MP Veronika Bellmann. Hainichen is the neighboring town of Freiberg. Both towns are in the constituency of Bellmann.

According to the current legal authorities, however, have their hands tied. "Basically, crime and legal proceedings have no impact on the current asylum procedure," said the spokesman of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), Mehmet Ata, the Handelsblatt. Nevertheless, there are in the asylum process "various exclusion clauses, in whose presence the granting of asylum, refugee protection and subsidiary protection ceases".

A refugee status is, for example, excluded if an alien has been convicted to a prison sentence of at least three years. However then still checked whether can actually be deported. Does the country of origin as not safe, even offenders in Germany remain.

The Social Democrat has for this, as he writes, "senseless legislation" no understanding. "With regard to refugees, I really fear that a striking number of citizens soon marched against us. Either we get the curve or our society threatens a very negative change, "he warns. The current legal practice used the "brown cells". But they hurt in particular the vast majority of asylum seekers who peacefully lived here and were grateful to have found in the Federal Republic protection. "For now it falls to a lot of people suspected in general."

Freiberg's mayor Sven Krüger (SPD) had excited shortly after the robbery. He had no understanding of the justice system, which does not keep the offender in custody, Kruger is quoted in various media. "So we will not protect our citizens and fizzles out police work."

Kruger's party colleague Grey Singer urges tougher action. "We do not have laws such as in Dubai, where ever heavier traffic violation, for example, a substantial speeding, a guest worker is enough to expel him. But to a certain extent in this direction we should move. "

It is international news and highly shameful for our country....
But that in no way makes this justifiable.

Typical Islamist at work. That's why these refugees should never be allowed in a peaceful region.
My sympathy for Germany and Europe

sir, why can't you call a spade a spade??? why comparing it with an equally bad incident halfway across the world??...you are acting typically like a fanboy who cannot stand critics of his loved ideology....

like i said just above your post, i wasn't justifying or ignoring the the germany incident... i was only pointing to the slanted coverage of western mainstream media, a thing which i know very well.

i or you or that media agency don't know about who that libyan was aligned to politically... maybe he was the criminal/reactionary type the nato militaries armed in order to destroy libyan jamahiriya... maybe he was a innocent libyan with seething anger at the european nation for having destroyed his fine comfortable country.

Most Libyans coming into Europe are hard core wahabis. No sane person in the world would even want to get too close to Libyans, they are a extreme bunch. Gaddafi kept these people in a check, now they are free to roam around Europe. Thank You NATO for killing Gaddafi.:hitwall:

what slanted coverage ? all this stupid shit that goes on in the 3rd world isn't exactly the biggest international story material, I mean, Putin's bombing the rebels in Syria vs a mob of savages in rural India

I'm guessing the Arushi murder case didn't get any coverage either.

This is how they pay back ... Shame ... ...
First they will ask for refuge status then passport and then ask to change the rule according to there religious sentiment ( but will forget from where they run from ) ..

there was the news last year about some anti-jamahiriya ntc libyans being brought over to britain for military training and three of them hunting down a man to rape him... yes, all thanks be to nato for supporting such freedom fighters.

the good libyans went to places like russia, tunisia and egypt... most of the good ones remain in libya and fight and speak for the jamahiriya.

the ones in europe are mostly riff-raff of the worst sort.

I'm guessing the Arushi murder case didn't get any coverage either.

"honor killing" in india should be indeed internationally covered... don't similar things in pakistan get covered so?? why the difference??

three of them hunting down a man to rape him...

They were Libyan military cadets, they were sent back after being found of sex attack on a man. One of them is trying to claim asylum in UK.
