KSY building amphibious warfare ships for Bangladesh Navy

Jako if you want a job as a sales rep for indian tech speak to those that are buying, we are not.

We are at an early stage of our maritime industry, we acknowledge we have a long way to go and don't pretend at what we are not. Lets take your comments one at a time..

Our plans are at stages:

1. First we are making at KSY LCUs and small inshore patrol crafts, these do not need stealth tech, so in your word the fact that they look like tin cans is fine.

2. Next KSY is going to build patrol vessels in the 650 ton class under license from China these will complement the two sister ships already delivered.

3. This will be followed by local build of modified type 56 corvettes currently under construction in China. As all indications show the construction of the first batch started build early 2012 and should arrive mid to late 2014. KSY will prob start build around 2014-2015.

4. Finally in the next 10-15 years KSY will be building frigates in the 2500-3000 tonne class that will incorporate advanced stealth tech, for which we expect to receive assistance from China and our own research centres.

Can you see the picture, for naval tech we are already receiving assistance from China, and a lot of investments are planned at KSY
For this, indian examples and assistance do not come into the picture. For non-naval maritime work, these are handled by the private yards, who have great links to Korean yards where many Bangladeshi's have worked.

Getting back to what you say about indian ability to produce well designed vessels, no one is denying they are good, what we don't want to do is take examples of indian public yards. We need to follow our own way and learn from our own mistakes, finally we tend to see Chinese and Korean yards as more efficient, and for political/strategic reasons easier to work with.
The plan for the evolution of the KSY sounds impressive. All the best with that. Avoid politics and the traditional south asian babu-yani,and the target is obviously achievable.

Our market and demands are not big enough to invest on building bigger ships. Once there are demands we have companies who can build those ships as well. Most of the ships in privates sectors are designed in Singapore, be it India or Bangladesh. We have the access to technology same as India. We can ask from Korea, China, Singapore or even Russia from where India gets its own tech.

Who told you that we get technology from Russia for our ships?Heck dude,we can even build aircraft carriers of our own design.

Hey,werent you the one who claimed that 'Bangladesh & Pakistan can build aircraft carriers on their own' in the 'Indian Aircraft Carrier thread.??? :woot:

Sure why not!! We are always smarter and more competent than Indian anyday. If India can assemble which means we can build, if we want to.

:omghaha:Jamaati logic at its best....I loled....:omghaha:

It is said that ignorance is a bliss,to people like you.You cannot even dream of developing a motorcycle engine in yourcountry and you dream of building Aircraft carriers?

And our shipbuilding efforts are largely indigenous, except certain fields like gas turbines that only four countries have developed commercialy. And we were making 95,000 tonners back in the '80s.Your largest ship today is ~7000 tonne.

But Jamaatis will keep on daydreaming....

Ya we know what India could do.. could not even make a object to fly even after 40 years of $hitting..

The absolute heights of Jamaati Stupidity

First aircraft developed in India-HAL HT 2,first flight in 1951.

First jet aircraft developed in India- HAL HF 24 Marut, first flight in 1961.

And if you meant Tejas, first flight in 2001,just 8 years from releasing of full scale funds by GoI.

Now answer my question, can you guys develop a motorcycle engine,at least?

they have already developed Lungi TurbofanRogenic engine
Coupled with BDRAWAMI space shuttle will be used to conquer Jupiter
The gases on Jupiter will be used to generate the next generation of Ultra Super Farts

While you Indians are wasting your time on silly things such as mars
