What's new

Khilji, the first Afghan dyansty of Hindostan

That's hardly answered the question but I understand if you don't wish to.

There rule was on small scale, the land under them was in no size as considerable as the khiljis, Ghurids, lodhis, Mughals the British.

The rule was approx for 40 years.
Not a big time but they were indeed rulers.

who are the original and native inhabitants of Punjab and Janjuas as Rajputs are not native to Punjab. Rajputs are Indian Hindu warrior clans whose native and original land is Rajhasthan (Rajputana) and Nothern India. Therefore Rajputs are Indian Hindu invaders who displaced native Punjabi people and occupied their lands.

So who is the native and original inhabitant of Punjab?, who has that claim?.

We are talking about indigenous Punjabi rulers, not foreign invaders.

But once these people were invaders too weren't they?.

But Janjuas have also migrated from India. They are originally Rajputs. So does not make them as racially Punjabi.

Janjua originally belonged to Gandhara.

So who is the native and original and native inhabitant of Punjab?, who has that claim?.

People became native after intermarrying within the native and adopting the local languages. like you don't consider Indians with Pashtuns ancestry as Pashtuns.

The original/native inhabitants of Punjab are the peoples of Indus Valley Civilization.

Janjua originally belonged to Gandhara.

If Janjuas belong to Gandhara then Afridis must belong to Kashmir then.

Really but some here were saying the people of Indus Valley civilisation were Dravidians.

So who is right is who is wrong as genetics are not the same for Dravidians and Punjabis.

The Hindu Shahi were Janjuas that's why I mentioned, Gandhara wasn't initially a Pashtun homeland, the inhabitants spoke an Indo-Aryan language until Pashtuns started to settle there beginning 9th century crossing the Suleiman ranges.

Nobody know who they were. Genetic studies says ANI originated around 30,000 years ago and it is believe they migrated into South Asia during the same time but others believe they migrated into South Asia some 3500 years ago which you call as Aryan invasion theory even if ANI originated 30,000 years ago.

Brother plz don't bring in Pseudo-History again. Janjuas are a Rajput clan. Nothing to dispute abt this.

Well actually that's a hypothesis/theory and IVC people have also been related with Gandhara civilization. You know Harrapa etc.

Punjab is a Persian name. This map will help you. We have heard lot about about Madra and Kekaya kingdoms in Indian history and mythology. The capital of Madra was Sakala(Sialkot), Greek name of Sakala was Sagala.

Yes your right Punjab is a Persian word. No doubt about that and yes these Madra and Kekaya inhabitants were also the natives original sons of soil of Punjab. The name Punjab was kept after the arrival of Muslim rulers.

But Gandhara, Harrapa again big genetic difference between them and the Dravidians, so would it be fair to say that these people were foreign?.

My dear if you look through this lens then 90% of population in sub-continent is foreign. The Baloch very proudly claim that they have migrated to present day Balochistan from Aleppo, Syria. Just ask any Baloch. If you talk about Dravidians then they are also said to have arrived in India from Africa. Brahmin, Kshtriyas and Vaisyas are Indo-Aryans from Eurasia and Central Asia but there's essentially some place or region which a race/tribe/group is identified with eg Jatts and Arains with Punjab and Haryana, Brahmins, Rajputs, Kshtriyas, Vaisyas,Shudras with Northern and Central India, Dravidians with South India etc

Where you learned these thing, Madra and its capital Sakala existed before Maurya Empire. When the Greek came, they took Sanskrit name Sakala as Sagala.

Interresting to know that the Turkic nobility looked down on the Khiljis. Well they mixed so much with Pashtuns that they became Pashtuns themselves.
