I don't even know where your data comes from. Take a look at my data.

13930 = 1987.81 USD. It's less than 280000 yen, which is 2029.

And Hiroshi Nohara is an anime character........I don't think it reflect actual situation.

Average sales rep in Japan earn anywhere between 338,000 yen a month to 550,000 yen a month, depends on job.

Based on your understanding of China, you should know which cities are in the east and which are in the west.

You understand the difference between average and median? Bill Gates and I have an average net worth of $60bil+ lmao.

Stop playing dumb. I've compared median to median in my previous post, unless you're telling me you can't read simple Chinese.

Let's take Shanghai vs Japan based on macro level statistics, because surveys might not be accurate.

Methods-of-GDP-calculation-1200x853.png

Shanghai's GDP per capita = $27K, labor share of GDP = 44%. Gross labor income per capita = ~$12K.
Japan's GDP per capita = $34K, labor share of GDP = 60%. Gross labor income per capita = ~$20K. Around 66% higher than Shanghai.

Even Shanghai, one of the richest city in China, has some way to go to reach Japan's income level (for the common people), not to mention Tokyo.

Yet Chinese posters keep talking about how bad Japan's economy is, how they have to depend on pornography to sustain their economy, or how 'most' people in coastal Chinese provinces have higher income than Japan. Lol.

13930 is the average salary. But what I mentioned earlier was the salary of the middle class, not the average salary.

Also, in Japanese families, only the father is working alone, while in Chinese families, both spouses have income.

Please carefully review my previous reply. I did not say that China's per capita income exceeds that of Japan. I am referring to middle-class families in the eastern provinces of China.

If so, then you did not proof anything, because those figures you are providing is not the middle-class income.

On the other hand, it's kind of weird if you compare a sales rep to middle class salary.....Sales manager maybe, still depends on pays and what type of field you are working on, but sales rep is definitely not, probably not even working-class salary.
