Yeah thunder's vertical fin has some resemblance to US Raptor, while J-10's one looks similar to F-7, bending backward.

Yes, we are getting them definately!
JF-17 will fly in PAF colors by the end of next year, J-10 is expected to be delivered by 2009. :)

It is produced by the same manufacturer. They even stand next to eachother on the same base... And since matures avionis and technology is pumped from J10 towards FC1... Look at the ECM on the fin. Almost same antenna's at same place.

Does it mean that we'll be able to build JF-20 in same facility as the JF-17 assuming that it will be provided with full ToT.
Kamra certainly has the manpower and space since the J-6/J-7 lines are being closed.

Some parts certainly. I think they have shifted all metal idea for JF17 so probably these to fighters share lot common ideology. Let us put is even simple. The providers of material are the same. The main difference will be the size. J10 will have more power and is bigger. But if you look towards the production parts they all look the same...

In the beginning the JF17 was simple plane. Now it has glass cockpit, bvr and lots more. Will they still go for all metall? Even if they will buy J10? Easy math.

You're probably right!

Btw, Pak engeneers will already have atleast three years of experience with buiding JF-17 before JF-20 arrives which gives us the possibility to modify or upgrade the latter with indigenious systems.

PAC has more than 20 years of experience with the F-16 already, JF-20 is based on F-16/Lavi project with a lot of similarity in structure and airframe.

J-10 is quite different from JF-17.

at least the material of airframe. in early prototypes, is imported from israel. more compositive material used in J-10 than FC-1 (i could not make sure if JF-17 use so much compositive material).

the cost difference is very much too.

more and more revealed info proves J-10 is developed by china's J-9 which was stabled 30 years ago. in the next R&D, china got the technology assistance and supports from israel's lavi (main resource), pakistan F-16a/b, france phantom-2000 and russia (engines after 1990). as the main military threat at that time is from soviet union in 1970-80's.

the main purposes may be different. most chinese people consider FC-1 ordered by PLAA is against f-16 and mig-29. j-10 against su-27, su-30 and f-15.

according to the info posted in china web article, PLAA made several times of 1 vs 1 simulation fights between j-10 and su-27sk in northwest china. the result is as follows:
first time: 0:0, each side could find each other but could not block and fire.
2nd time: 0:1. su-27sk wins. su-27sk find j-10 times, and j-10 find su-27sk once.
3rd time: 5:0. j-10 wins. su-27sk finds j-10 times but could not block and fire.
4th time: 8:1. j-10 wins. su-27sk finds j-10 times.
5th time: su-27sk lost the game.

from 2005, china stops import of su-27sk, and trying to get more su-30mkk2 for powerful attack to ground and sea targets.

the attached is a photo of double-seat j-10.

sorry for a mistake. the phantom-2000 shall be mirage-2000.

Paf Should Be Looking Seriously At Incorporting Advance Material/composite Materials In To The Skin Of Jf17 Aircrafts, Plus Canards For Future Derivatives Of Jf17.

please change the engine nozzle of jf-17 like f-35 or f-16
