It's Over: Russia, France Agree Mistral Contract Breach Settlement

Pakistan is buying Mi-35, new upgrades to F-16, 8 Chinese subs. You think Pakistan does not have money!

Yes they are, but they are not buying what they wanted to.

They too want carriers , Subs , Destroyers , Gen 5 Fighters gen 4+ Fighters..
Talk Real.
You dont have money for the serious stuff.

The Phrase "we will eat grass", always told that PAKISTAN "CAN" make a Bomb, the only Question was "AT WHAT COST" ?

According to some sources, France will compensate 1.2bln euro to Russia.

This is price including:
-892.9 mln euro - is a prepayment for two ships.
-spending on sailors study
-spending on R&D and construction of four prototypes of Ka-52K helicopters
-spending on construction of infrastructure for Mistral in Vladivostok military naval base

Anyway, it's end good for us and bad for France.

For France is a completely shame and now you know why it's s@cks to be an American lapdog, after all :D

I PN can buy but not so sure about it. But there is clear good chance for IN to buy it and order another 2 more of these.

Its 1 billion ? The so called russian medias were saying something like 5—10 billions. Loool.
Anyway, you russians were predicting that we will export nothing and loose money.... no one will trust us... still our weapons exports are incredibly incrising.... so,spare us «its bad for france, they are uss lapdog» your shitty propaganda doesnt work . Russia odd better investing these one billion in their sheinking economy instead of buying tanks.

: as if you were better.... just ask the iranians what they tink about you...

Haven't heard about such numbers.

but you already lose moneys. Can you even read? or count?

Your weapon export is nothing compare to major players, lol and it's just shurnk at 50%, because of mistral.

You better watch on your own economic, before trying to criticizing someone.

Are you serious ? 50 %? are u high on vodka or what ? Just remember the egyptian deal, lebanese deal, qatar deal,(these are one of the biggest deal,i dont count the smallers)and (probably) the future indian deal, the polish, the mexican.... 50% hahahha
So you exported something like 15 bilions dollars last year,we exported for more than 8 billions euros,an increase of 17%... not too bad.

At least, the govt isnt spending billions in buying tanks when the economy is shrinking to a no where level.
maybe the russians (non brainwashed) would prefer to see billions invested in infrastructures than weapons...

Because Russia is not getting them. They will not be scrapped. India (far more likely, but still not likely) and Pakistan (not gonna happen) are theoretically potential customers. It's interesting to talk about where they two ships may wind up.

India isn't going to buy them because they are very focused on trying to build their own. Pakistan doesn't have the money or the support infrastructure, or anything really other than a vague lust for more weapons.

Japan, Australia, S Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Iran are all more interesting and likely clients, IMHO. No one has publicly expressed interest though. The two ships would both be very expensive for most of the above countries (excepting perhaps Japan). Japan has it's own construction program though, for very similar ships so they seem unlikely.

Some have floated the idea of the US purchasing them as a combination force improvement and payback to France for supporting the Russia sanctions. Doubtful, IMHO, the US also has it's own build program, and a very touchy acquisition program due to the Navy and Marine Corps both having input into amphibious ships. Would be hard to get a pre-built ship in there without overcoming a lot of resistance.

Australia could pick up one, they are in the market as I understand, but would this be exactly what they want? Could they get a good deal?

The other states have either no pressing need, or no money - but would the EU/NATO/US help out?? Hmmm. The US is particularly trying to build the Philippines military out, could they actually get to the point of operating a carrier? Very very big jump for them. But US coaching would go a very long way there.
