Is it worth it to build Shivaji Statue in India?

excluding Lord Shiva statue.. looks like modi wants to out weigh mayavathi statue building spree.. What's the point to build these statues..

He is tribal minded. He wants everything built in Gujarat.

Fantastic project well conceived with a number of facilities- will be a big draw for local and international tourists

OK...

To predict these phenomena for rare recessive genes, we require six parameters (Table 1; Fig. 1). If qj is the frequency of recessive alleles at the ith contributing locus (i = 1, ..., k), if the probability that the homozygote be affected is si =8, and if heterozygous effects are negligible, then the panmictic load is k A = s E 9t2 iml and the inbred load (6) is k f=1 - skQ. This simple theory of genetic loads is all that we require to predict the effect of rare, independent, completely recessive genes on the frequency of mental retardation, because the probability of nonaffection given inbreeding coefficient F (7) is S = e-(A+BF) Wright (8) showed that, if genes and environment are additive, with no confounding of inbreeding and environment, then the regression of a quantitative trait on the inbreeding coefficient is b = m -mo in which vn- is the mean at inbreeding Fj. Under complete recessivity, this reduces to (9) -b = TEqj(l - q1) - TkQ. The genetic variance is composed of parts due to additive effects, dominance, and epistasis. For completely recessive genes, the relative dominance variance (see equation 4.1.11 of ref. 10) is D = T21[qf(l -s)2/a2 which reduces as q, - 0 to D - T2A/k2s To estimate Q and k we use two classical results of genetic load theory (6), Q < A/B, and k 2 B2/A

Dude that was Hilarious ....... ..............:enjoy:

Indian Military advisers are aware what they are doing . Shield is already placed and when these radars will be placed fully then the system will be changed.

Hum Hindustaniya tambel hain. bahut slow hain , hamare scientist kuch bhi nahi karte . sirf saare doosre mulk humse zyada fast hain aur sirf unke paas technology hain :disagree::disagree:

Low level Light Weight 3D Radar - ASLESHA: ASLESHA is a multifaceted ground based S-Band 3D Low Level Light Weight Surveillance Radar for deployment in diverse terrains like plains, deserts, mountain tops and high altitude regions.

Aslesha detects and tracks heterogeneous air targets, including helicopters, fighters and UAVs at low and medium altitudes. The radar can scan the valley. It provides accurate range, azimuth and height information for each target with electronically steerable multi-beam technology in elevation. The radar sweeps 360 degree in azimuth and 30 degree in elevation to provide air space awareness. Semi-distributed active aperture radar uses advanced VLSI and high-speed digital technologies like high efficiency T/R modules, DDS, digital receiver and programmable signal processor to provide 3D air space awareness with high accuracy, resolution and reliability. As all the main radar subsystems are on the rotating platform, this radar architecture obviates the two most common single point failures by dispensing with high power rotary joints and central transmitter; thereby making the radar system extremely reliable. The radar is easily re-locatable and can be deployed or decamped in less than 15 minutes. The radar is engineered in multiple packages to enable easy transportability in mountainous terrain by vehicles, group of men, or as an under slung carriage by a helicopter. The remote operation of the radar through Commander's Display Unit (CDU) upto 1 km from the radar provides safety to the crew during operation. The facility also enables the Commander to deploy the radar at a tactically favorable point. The quadripod-mounted radar is built to operate in networked or stand-alone mode to support joint or independent operations by Air Force. Multi ECCM features help the radar to deliver intended performance even under intense hostile EM environment. Aslesha being compact, light weight and modular, can be used in different innovative roles like air space surveillance in urban areas for VVIPs, large critical installations.

A helicopter carrying Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah suffered a bird hit and made an emergency landing at the HAL Airport here on Monday shortly after take-off, a police official said.

Mr. Siddaramaiah and four others, including Home Minister G. Parameshwara who were also on board, were safe, Assistant Commissioner of Police P Nagesha Kumar told PTI.

The chopper did not suffer any damage in the bird hit, he added.

Te Chief Minister and others left for Shravanabelogala in Hassan district as scheduled by the same helicopter a few minutes later after clearance, Mr. Kumar said adding that they landed at the destination.

Mr. Siddaramaiah was on an official visit to Shravanabelogala to launch developmental schemes for “Mahamasthakabhisheka”, a once in a 12-year event at the Jain pilgrimage centre scheduled for February next year.

Mahamasthakabhisheka is the anointment of the 57-foot high monolithic statue of Jain deity Lord Gommateshwara, also known as Bahubali, located on Vindyagiri at Shravanabelogala.

I support the project. The project involving national importance should be grand and huge. They should be made to last not just decades but centuries. Making it approx 4 km away from main land is also a clever idea as it will generate revenue and will be much pleasing. Thinking just one of this attraction will add one extra day in international tourist itenary ( this island will take atleast 4-5 hours for any tourist to spend), which means added one day extra lodging, food, shopping and other local activities. So if not directly, this will add indirect revenue to the government's kitty.

Also, I believe we lack monuments to explore. We have mostly forts, and old tombs and temples. Where are the big statues. We need few highest , tallest and grandest stuff to make them visible on the world map.

And please, the poverty is mismanagement rather than lack of funds and will power. This will take time till the execution and bureaucracy do not change themselves.

Apart from this, we also need fast travelling option to connect these monuments spread across the country to make the travelling easy for everyone from one place to another.

Cabinet approves transfer of 4.64 hectares of land belonging to Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation (IISWC) Research Centre at Vasad, Gujarat to National Highways Authority of India

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for transfer of 4.64 hectares (46384 Sq. meters) of land belonging to the Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation (IISWC) Research Centre at Vasad, District Anand, Gujarat under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on payment of compensation amounting to Rs. 12.67 crore for extension and six laning of Ahmedabad - Vadodara Highway on NH-8.

The NH-8 is an important highway connecting Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The transfer of land to the NHAl for construction of extension and six laning of Ahmedabad - Vadodara section of NH-8 is likely to benefit the region leading to enhanced opportunities for: growth and development in terms of infrastructure, transport, communication, employment generation etc. The decision is also part of the Government's plans to boost infrastructure in key sectors for accelerating the pace of growth.
