Iran poised to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Without replacing dollar SCO will remain a joke.

Iran shows will and balls, it depends on other influential members such as China and Russia to decide whether they want this organization be effective or just a useless subset of western developed economy.

Organizations like SCO and OIC are just there for political posturing at the end of the day they yield nothing. Formation of EU/NATO was a miracle which will not happen again. OIC has more in common than any other organization but useless scums leading them have made it impotent to say the least. Islam is as good as any reason to unite but mere idea of it seems like a joke bcz of Saudis and Iranis.
Mister, considering your country allows alcohol to be sold legally, you shouldn't remark about who upholds Islam better. It's a pretty sly and morally dishonest way to posture.

I always argued Iran should exploit it's gold mines + purchase gold and build a stockpile of 300 tonnes, then place the rial on it to do away with this fiat bullshit.

Keep the currency strong enough and people will show interest in using it for international transactions...plus we can also make it temporarily available as legal tender in Afghanistan for stability until they manage to overcome their economic woes. It breaks my heart to see the suffering of Afghans and the lack of financial security they have under their devalued currency.

Buying gold for stronger currency or spending on Military for stronger army ?

Hard to decide which one should be prioritized .....

Golden rule for any kind of regional organization Iran would join: cooperation between separate, sovereign independent state entities (including preferential trade agreements etc, e.g. ASEAN) yes; supranational level institutions with transfer of sovereignty from traditional areas of state competence towards the organization (e.g. EU) no!

Rouhani’s unsuccessful attempt to bridge the gap between Iran and the West only strengthened the pessimists, including the supreme leader himself, in their belief that the West could not be trusted [27] and pushed Iran more to the East.
So the supreme leader using supreme Iranian logic concluded the West could not be trusted after -

  • 1952 Mossadeq's overthrow
  • 1960s, 1970s with West sponsored Shah
  • 1979 revolution - USA failed attempt to commondo raid on Tehran
  • Support Sadda Husain and Gulf monarchies to screw Iran over
  • Support Israel to threaten Iran
  • Sanction Iran to be the most sanctioned country in the world
  • Threaten to attack Iran after naming it axis of evil

After all this sh*t the supreme leader was still hoping to find trust in West. Wtf? Retardness at another level.

Addendum: Sign a treaty and then bare faced revoke it - because they could.

It's literally the opposite.

The Supreme Leader was always aware that the west cannot be trusted and he openly warned the Rohani administration about it, considering the latter's optimism when it came to negotiating with the US and EU on the nuclear file. It was the liberals (reformists and moderates) who started deviating from the line adopted in 1979, by believing that it's possible to appease the west.

Study Imam Khamenei's declarations, and in fact Iranian revolutionary discourse in general: it is entirely focused, foreign policy wise, on denouncing western (and zionist) imperialism, bullying and exploitation, including but not limited to every point you listed.

The Supreme Leader was against it from the beginning. The cuck Rouhani was the one bent on it and had 75% of the Iranian public screaming "EYE LOFF AMRIKA!" in order to open negotiations.

Alcohol is only sold to non Muslims who are given permit. Even then there are restrictions regarding consumption limit and no drinking in public. As for smuggled alcohol it all comes from Iran into Pakistan.

And in Iran, it all comes from (northern) Iraq (perhaps some of it from Turkey, Azarbaijan, Armenia and the UAE). But none originates in Iran.
More than 90% are fake alcohol produced inside iran
