Iran hails Hezbollah’s victory against Israel in 2006 war

just look how hezbollah forced israel to go back to it's borders from lebanon ! in 2 decades hezbollah captured all of the lands of the lebanon which were captured by israel before ....

so hezbollah is victor

^^ Most people still don't know what the Zionist entity and western countries know very well; a total victory for Hezbollah. The American military has actually studied Hezbollah's brilliant tactics and war strategies to learn from them in their military academies.

Hezbollah was victor! because : targeting an warship and bombing the cities and the main land of Israel which no Arab Army could do that before!

Remember Haifa and the cities in the north! For 33 days people lived in shelters ! and these thing done not by a country, but by a small group of warriors !

Yes, over a million "Israelis" lived in pure hell during that war. Not only that, but they also lost billions of dollars because all factories were closed and all economic activities were halted :D

simple look at the goals which iSrael put against Hezbollah

and were they achieved ???

while the warship attack was a surprise capability. Egypt and Syria had attacked cities in Israel long before Hezbollah.

all wars have a cost there was some property damage in Israel but minuscule compared to what Lebanon received.

that isn't comparable to thing that Hezbollah did : 33 days non stop !

of course ! but compare the Hezbollah with 3000 warriors and Israel with the one the strangest classical army !

haha, what a joke ! the CENT COM of the hezbollah wasn't even detected!
israel air force just bombed normal people so they may accidenly attack the leaders of the hezbollah !!

His statement was correct the Russian lost the most people in the war by a long shot.

Yes but Russia also conquered Berlin and planted their flag on the Reichstag.

I didn't see Hezbollah planting their yellow flag on Tel Aviv :D

You forgot that we're not talking about the two great powers in WW2, but a strong army supperted by a superpower and a small group called Hezbollah.

Well in that case they can completely forget trying to invade and capture Israel. The most they can do is fight a gurella was in Lebonon, which in most cases would result in complete destruction of their infastructure.

Anyway I think Iranians like Surenas are the majority, and eventually as they gain voice Iran would stop supporting such groups.

Those Iranians are not the majority. How about you ask the ones on this forum who actually live in Iran how they feel about their support to Hezbollah. The replies will be different than those living abroad.

How do you define victory?When a country reaches its goal in war,it's called victory.
Israel's goal at war was completely,destroying Hezbollah.Well they couldn't.
No, it was not.

And in Lebanon, we will insist on compliance with the terms stipulated long ago by the international community, as unequivocally expressed only yesterday in the resolution of the 8 leading countries of the world:
- The return of the hostages, Ehud (Udi) Goldwasser and Eldad Regev;
- A complete cease fire;
- Deployment of the Lebanese army in all of Southern Lebanon;
- Expulsion of Hizballah from the area, and fulfillment of United Nations Resolution 1559.

PM Ehud Olmert's Address (July 17, 2006)

So lets go again:

Israeli goals:
- The return of the hostages, Ehud (Udi) Goldwasser and Eldad Regev; Done
- A complete cease fire; Done
- Deployment of the Lebanese army in all of Southern Lebanon; Done
- Expulsion of Hizballah from the area, and fulfillment of United Nations Resolution 1559. Partially done

Hezbollah goals:
- 'Liberation' of Sheba farms. Fail.
- 'Liberation' of Rajar village. Fail.
- 'Liberation' of other territories including 7 bodrer villages. Fail.
- 'Liberation' of Samir Kuntar old Lebanese murderer who spent 30 years in Israeli jail. Done
- 'Liberation' of Palestinian prisoners. Fail.
- 'Liberation' of Jerusalem. Fail.
- Stopping Israeli overflights over Lebanon. Fail.

Conclusion:
- Israel that was caught by surprise, lost 121 soldiers and achieved the overwhelming majority of its goals.
- Hezbollah which initiated the sneak attack, lost 500-600 its men, lost almost all its infrastructures and failed the overwhelming majority of its goals.

In addition they were forced to cease fire and their leader is hiding like a rat under the ground.

Anyway I think Iranians like Surenas are the majority, and eventually as they gain voice Iran would stop supporting such groups.

Honestly if his name was not in Persian, I would never believe he is really Iranian, I've never seen any Iranian like him.
Actually, even Surenas is not an Iranian, he has not even born in Iran.
Majority of Iranians are like majority of Iranians of this forum if you ask me.
