India''s help sought to trace 4 missing Lankan Navy men

Rameswaram (TN), Mar 30 (PTI) Four Sri Lankan Naval personnel have been reported missing along with their boat and a request has been made to the Indian Navy and fishermen to trace them, officials said here today.

It is suspected that the boat could have sunk or developed a snag and drifted to a coast in the Palk Strait, they said. Tamil Nadu fisheries department, which was informed about the incident, has sought the help of the state''s fishermen to look out for the Sri Lankan Navy personnel and their boat.

Officials of Q Branch police said they have also alerted the state''s Coastal Security Police about the missing Sri Lankan Naval personnel. About 650 fishermen, who went out to sea from here this evening, had been asked to inform officials if they come across the missing Sri Lankan Naval boat.

From Indian media friend

SL media is not free, hence you better rely on Indian media. BTW you yourself keep publishing fake news and have been busted numerous times, your opinion on Indian media values NIL.

Harassed and threatened, news website

When I heard this news first I check with the Sri Lanka Ministry of Defence

Still no official statement from Sri Lanka Ministry of Defence

Sri Lanka News | Ministry of Defence - Sri Lanka

Now now, what kind of 'journalist' (and we have plenty of fake journalists here) will check with the govt that has been accused of abducting and assassinating its own real journalists and the PM feeds lies in the parliament that there are LTTE camps in TN? A really really bad journalist who is in love with (and by self admission - on payroll of) a capitalistic dictatorial communist state, no? The shoe fits.

Ok cool… I agree suddenly 4 Lankan Navy men went missing…….

Anyway Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka confirmed yesterday that three Sri Lankan fishermen had been captured by the Indian Navy and handed over to law enforcement authorities.

dude can there be a possibility that 4 navy men went missing and were rescued by india or you dont want to belive because they were rescued by india
also to your fisherman report see it shows our human face we arrest them we dont kill them like animals see the difference yourself
