This is the real deal, will take atleast 1.5 years to develop, so it may be next dec. not this one..
Actually what the original article was predicting was bang on. The IAC-1 was launched in December 2011. But just to make it clear launching in naval terms is when the superstructure of the ship is completed and the ship is "launched" from the dry dock into the water. This does not mean the ship is complet, far from it, there is still A LOT of work to be done such as fabrication and integration. But the timeline for "commissioning" in 2014 looks very achievable right now.
