New Delhi [India], February 4 (ANI): Having successfully deployed and tested the K-9 Vajra Howitzers in the Ladakh sector, the Indian Army is now planning to deploy K-9 Vajra howitzers in the high altitude mountains in the central and eastern sector of the line of actual control with China.

All 5 Medium Self Propelled Regiments of Army are attached with formations along with our Western frontier. The regiment which is currently the northernmost is around Jammu. And a single battery of the regiment has been deployed up to Kargil.

Not a single K9 regiment has been as of today attached to a formation facing LAC.

You can bring in any number of ANI articles but that doesn't change the facts. According to ANI a helicopter that is yet not in service is deployed along LAC, a cruise missile not under production deployed along LAC, etc.

"These guns can also work in high-altitude areas, field trials were extremely successful. We have now added an entire regiment, this will be really helpful," Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane, who was in Ladakh to review operational preparedness, said.
