India 'deeply regrets' accidental firing of missile

Any confirmation of it being "live", I have seen post saying it's nuke but it's most probably exaggeration.

Even if it were not live (dummy warhead), it still could have killed someone if it fell on a residential neighbourhood. The kinetic energy alone can take out a small house.

It could very well have landed on th Indian side and killed someone for that matter.

I think it's extremely unlikely that this was intentional.

How much did this missile travel ? Looks like around 250 km in total ....so it shudnt have ran out of fuel as it's ranged at 290 km

In 1998, the US launched a number of Tomahawk missiles into Afghanistan. One of them fell inside Pakistani territory. It is claimed that the technology was helpful in the development of Pakistan's own missile technology.

The Americans vowed to not make the same mistake again, and made sure to destroy the Black Hawk that crashed during Bin Laden's raid before escaping.

While Pakistan's missile technology has advanced greatly since 1998, and the Brahmos is unlikely to reveal any new technology, it may expose some of its limitations and/or vulnerabilities.

So, in all likelihood, this was another blunder, that has come to characterize the Indian military.

Since they have officially claimed it to be unintentional and a malfunction, it would be foolish for us to retaliate with the same force. We would be seen as the aggressors, especially after no loss of life and insignificant damage. We need to control the narrative here. If there are questions of uncertainty and dishonesty, they should be raised diplomatically to the Indians and made answerable.

Of course if they had openly claimed it to be intentional, like Balakot, it would be an entirely different response.

What if Pakistan thought it was a surprise nuclear attack on Pakistan. We could have launched 1000 missiles in return. India should be sanctioned 😆

They are idiots

The level of ineptitude shown by Indian military is sometimes astounding, people keep saying what if they did it on purpose to test us is EQUALLY retarded

This is on par or actually worse then Indians shooting down their own helicopter in panic

It reveals a level of ineptitude at high levels within the Indian military

The fanboys are idiots on both sides so you will get the usual endless Twitter gifs but in reality multiple countries will have picked this up and thought to themselves the Indians are morons

Disaster was averted because of protocols put in place between the two countrys and luckily that no one got hurt

But this is total revelation on how shitty the Indian military really is and they just like to collect shiny toys

WhY India didn't shot down the missile when it knew the missile is heading towards Pakistan. It is not easy to digest the narrative of India "Wrongly fired"

Because they had multiple failures

The missile should have self destructed and it failed to do so either because of tech failure or ineptitude on Indian side, it didn't blow up

So they essentially handed over a treasure trove of information just out of being useless

We need to learn from the West. Remember how the US stole Afghan money to compensate the US 9/11 families.

We need to demand India to pay $10,000 US Dollar to each of the 220 Million Pakistanis as compensation for mentally disturbing us with this incident.

If they don't pay, we can use it as an excuse to invade them.

If they pay, we can use that money to spend on our defenses.
🤣👍👌

Beyond parody.

How do you 'accidentally' launch a cruise missile? What if it landed on a house? Or brought down a passenger jet?

No, I don't think this was India trying to 'probe' Pakistani radar. Probing opponent radar network using a live cruise missile?! That would be insane.

A similar incident has happened before.

And what if innocent Pakistanis had died (are there any casualties?). Still do we accept indias pathetic excuse and move on like nothing occured? Maybe they'll give mitai to GHQ to sweeten their anger.

we will eventually have to get BJP on the table or deal with them. This was just irrelevant incident but the BJP folks like Yogi we will not let them off easily. having a goddamn medieval priest in our next door is quite upsetting really.

Besides this is great for our stragetic depth which will get high priority including our mobilization timing has to be increased to the point where we can mobilize the maximum in short period of time. including the miliaristaion of the country is needed. Besides we also need interoperability with our stragetic depth with a defense treaty on top of that so that we will be able to move in there and build stuff while being embedded with their forces. We should priorities exclusively eastern border here on out..

Why this mijjile only traveled 220 km before running out of fuel ??? Why no body asking this question

It's 290 km mijjile

It travelled 3 min 47 sec in pak air space and travelled 124 km

It travelled 3 mins in indian space so must have travelled no more than 100 km unless it de accelarated after entering Pakistan.. which is not possible ...if anything it shud have gained speed in mid flight

Will there be any info on the building that was struck?
