IMF and Mix-achar Government talks fail

Previous govt took unpopular decisions and was bashed by elements of this govt but they didn't care.

This government doesn't have to take those unpopular decisions for 1 year of government. They should simply highlight this and resign and use it for political leverage in electoral campaigns

Abi soya huwa ha….subah nashta kerke uper charhe ga…..halwa puri kha pi k kuch kerayga dont worry

Lol how can anyone replace the coas…..not possible yar
Ye kaise hosakta ha k koi bajwa ko side pe kerde ??

Ye PKR ki he baat ho rahi hai kisi or cheez ki jo jo subah subah uper char jata? :rolleyes1:
:rolleyes1:

The landmines left by Imran Khan are indeed proving to be effective. However, your joy will be short lived as one way or the other, this Government or the next, Pakistan will have to adhere to IMF demands.
Imran Khan left no landmines on the contrary he left economy in a good condition. Had there been no political uncertainty pur economy would have been going up.

Khan got an import based economy with overvalued rupee which would have bankrupted Pakistan keeping covid in mind. But Khan was forced to bring dollar to market value (devaluation of rupee happened due to that) and focus on increasing exports which he did. Remittances grew due to confidence of overseas and schemes by govt. And alternatives were found to decrease imports.

These are few of many steps which helped Pakistan grow it's economy.

Hein? Raat ko adalat khul sakti hai, ek din me 3 benches ban sakti hain, 6 ghante me faisla asakta hai, chutti ke din relief mil sakta hai, 3000+ criminals ko baghair kisi process kiye ECL se nikala ja sakta hai, 26 naib zada bail par free criminals minister ya MPA bun sakte hain, baap beta bail par hone ke bawajood PM and CM bun sakta hai, favorite daughter bagode baap ki temaardari ke bahane bail par hai jabke mareez bauji bhaga hua hai, ek khusri wazeer e kharja ban sakti hai aur ek sacha leader jis ke khilaaf koi corruption ka saboot na ho usko nikala ja sakta hai to kese keh sakte ho aap ke ye nahi ho sakta.

I'm sure they'll find some excuse to oust Bajwa and the courts will support the outcome.

Meera Ji's wise words come to mind; "Changing color the sky is how how" (badalta hai rung asmaan kese kese) and "Front front look what will happen" (agay agay dekhiye hota hai kya).

Anything is possible in Pakistan.

Government must either take extremely unpopular measures in this dire financial emergency facing the country or resign for greater political freedom.
Dont worry SS should send TLP, with a Gauri missile, in the delegation to talk with IMF next time.

Yes perfect and that will automatically solve the debt and shortage of reserves issue.

You don't need Gauri Missile.

  • Just tell them we only pay principal & that too after audit of previous loans. (that's what Allama KHR was saying, in short)
  • Ban Luxury Imports, Grow exports esp. IT.
  • Purchase from other countries in their currency (if possible) or through Barter System.
  • WE can buy oil from Russia in Rubles or disc.Oil in $, from Iran in Local currency or from Venezuela.
  • & so on. There are many hard measures that needs to be taken. Wise say NO PAINS, NO GAINS

But Zafar Hilaly is saying talks have been succeeded at 10pm. (time on above quoted tweet is 7:42pm)

If talks are failed, then it's a booster for IK.
Not only SS but GHQ's morale would be down after hearing this. Zillat pr Zillat.

Too late. Should have thought about if before toppling Imran Khan govt

You are trying to reason with someone who loves Darnomics
@Mav3rick

Economic Reconciliation Order or NRO is not needed. The dime a dozen amnesty schemes offered by previous government has ensured all possible roads towards any accountability to a premature end.

The whistle blower schemes and pertinent changes to NAB laws have rendered them toothless.

I don't need to indulge in speculation. The armed forces is still reeling from sudden structural changes brought by previous government in order to uphold civilian supremacy.
Lande ke danishwar mat bano.
Na hi neutral hone ki koshish kero..
Ab yeah baat amenesty schemes ki purani ho gai hai.

Jinhoon ne aik namaz nhn parhta wo 2, 3 parhne waloon ko kehta hai ke 5 kyinnhn parhta.
Yeah 3rd world country hai. Yahan kuch acha na hona do kyun ke dosri cheezain achi nhn.

It would be ironic if PDM manages to weather the coming economic maelstrom without relying on IMF. Ironic because this is what Imran originally set out to do before coming to office in 2018. But Pakistan will have to depend on allies and this will show who can be a friend in need.

Back in Zardari's tenure, I remember that there was a forum of likeminded countries called 'Friends of Democratic Pakistan'. Perhaps Bilawal can revive that again and also in that process revive his father's legacy :big_boss:

Only someone who want to burn his $$ will lend Pakistan right now without IMF. Knowing our history of mismanagement.

Additionally overseas Pakistani should ensure the absolute minimum comes to Pakistan and we take our money out

The level of idiocy from the patwaris and jiyalas this time has been a tipping point

No sharif or bhutto or PMLN or PPP, or MQM or ANP is acceptable

It's better to tear the country apart then trust these Haram khors

Pakistan could well face Sri Lanka type situation if there is no external support. If Pakistan has a real friend, now is the time for this party to help Pakistan.

India has given $3 billion to support Sri Lanka knowing fully well that Sri Lanka cannot pay back any time soon. India did so because keeping Sri Lanka's economy afloat is in India's interest. Similarly, Pakistan should find a friend with mutually aligned interest. Let's see if Saudi, China or US will step in. Right now, seems like Saudi may be willing

Let the GHQ burn down... We will build back better
