IDEAS takes place at Pakistan's most established exhibition venue, Karachi Expo Centre. The site is ideally located at the most secure place in the centre of the city and is designed to meet all conceivable requirements of an international exhibition with latest communication facilities.
Karachi Expo Centre is equipped with modern facilities based on international standards creating a market and a world of its own. Being a modern complex comprising 6 exhibition halls & a foyer with over 18000 sqm area. It encompasses exhibitor service center, prayer area, food courts and Congress Centre, which houses the press, secretarial services, kitchen and a cafeteria on first floor. The second floor is available for conferences / seminars for a sizeable gathering. The whole complex is centrally air-conditioned. Adequate ample parking space is available during the events. A Helipad is also provided for the VVIP Guests.

The International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS), showcases a wide variety of technology, ranging from equipment used in the third world countries to the most sophisticated systems from the West.
The Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), along with its major defence manufacturers, has been participating in various International Defence Exhibitions.
The DEPO works to facilitate customer inquiries and coordinate export of a high quality of defence products and services. The DEPO works towards meeting the large network of services of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The DEPO, along with its major defence manufacturers, has been participating in various international activities and through its pro- active marketing strategy they have earned international recognition. DEPO has contributed to Pakistan exporting aircrafts, arms and ammunition to over 35 countries around the world, and during the last 2 years they have developed a strategy to explore new markets and expand its business plan.
The DEPO, in collaboration with Pakistan's defence sector, is committed to providing a progressive response to ongoing developments in the world and to meet the technical needs of present whilst looking to prosperous future developments.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Wednesday that the 11th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (Ideas) will significantly contribute towards fostering and promoting Pakistan’s strategic relations with the international fraternity and would serve to achieve the shared objectives of global peace, stability and balance.
The defence exhibition is scheduled to be held in Karachi from November 15 to 18 at Expo Centre.
The chief minister chaired the third meeting of the steering committee at Sindh Secretariat here.
He added that hosting such an event was a testimony to the pledge for encouraging technological growth and exchange in the region.
He reassured of continuous patronage and full support of the Sindh government for successful accomplishment of the mega show.
The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the federal and provincial governments, representatives of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and event manager Badar Expo Solutions.
The second session of the meeting was chaired by the director general of the Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO), Major General Mohammed Arif Malik.
He was apprised of the finalisation of administrative, security and support plans by various government departments, the armed force and law enforcement agencies.
During the meeting, all organisations pledged their full support for holding Ideas-2022.
