Idea no.4: Business, supply chain, management and finance

This is a great thread. I would try to contribute as best as I can. There are so many ideas but ideas alone won't make any difference unless until we start to implement. I will therefore go through the ideas already presented and try to elaborate on them:
Adopting a village/school as mentioned by some is a great idea and best way to uplift people/youth. One can crowd fund and start with improving the village with clean water, sewerage (also sewerage treatment plant... most important), school, roads and if possible Gas/Electricity provision. These could lift the quality of life and help the environment as well (in terms of sewerage treatment). Tree planting and parks within the boundaries of the villages (Government or Villagers could set a village boundary). This idea is close to my heart as it improve quality of life and create excellent communities.
Crops: Some have mentioned cultivation of wheat, soybean etc. The Soybean crop is a tough one as it only yields around 1.25 tonnes per acre (about Rs40-50k revenue) and I am not sure if a small farmer can benefit from it. It is some times better to invest in fruit production i.e. citrus, papaya, banana or just trees for wood.... I believe the cash crops should be cultivated by farmers with a substantial land holdings so that if there are bad years they can sustain the losses and still able to farm.
It is very critical that we adopt drip irrigation as the future holds much more difficult time for agriculture in the form of water shortage and climate change. Drip irrigation will reduce labour cost as watering a corn field or an orchard could be done by one man. Here one could have a sub surface drip irrigation (Company: Netafim) which could water an entire field in one go (could be 25 acres or 1000 acres). Spoon feeding water as well as fertiliser. Saving water and fertiliser. If I had the money I would deploy this irrigation system.
Education: The above comment on adopting village/school should cater for this point as it could benefit the community two fold by teaching the kids at school in the day and afternoon/evening classes for the adults/senior citizens which could teach them about new techniques in agriculture as well as other things.
Processing (value add): So after the production of crops, fruits and veg. These should be processed further for either domestic consumption or export. I could name a few things like Tomatoes, Oranges, Mangos, Papaya, Guava etc could be processed into juices, drinks and pulp etc. Pakistan is one of the top 10 producer of Dates but none are sold as premium product. Example could be Medjool dates could easily be cultivated and exported in large quantities but will need attention to detail in production and processing to excellent standard.

Now comes to the question how would I contribute:
If I had money/resource and security that people won't try to defraud (this means need land reforms, transparent sales/transfer of land and where judiciary doesn't allow every tom/dick and harry to file a case against anyone) me then I would cultivate the cash crops and process them at farm and sell them to end user. For example
Corn to feed for animals which produce milk/meat then
milk/cheese to consumer. Wheat to flour to end user. I could go on with ideas but maybe for another day.

What do you mean??? Millions of people have guns in Pakistan (most of them not so legal).
Why do people think that having gun is a crime or a bad thing:disagree::disagree:. Example of USA is a bad example tbh.

I am talking about developing our arms and ammunition industries so that we could become one of its biggest exporters in the world. Just the USA has a market of about $4 billion of civilian guns and a quarter of that market is cornered by Europe.

Just Croatia is the third largest exporter of guns to USA. A small country with a population of just 4 million. Austria another country is the second largest exporter of guns to USA. Austria has a population of 8 million.

Then why can't Pakistan with a population of more than 220 million people, a nuclear armed country can make a gun industry and become one of the top exporters which has a market of worth billions of dollars.

Imagine an arms manufacturer by the name of Darra Weapons imagine the amount of money that can be made from foreign markets
Darra is already a very well known word around the world it is a brand a pretty made brand just waiting for someone to capitalize on it.
And on the note DIR knives can also become a brand of its own in terms of an exotic item and dare I say a competitor to swiss army knife .

@Dubious nice thread .
So many people said so many good things , I will say totally different (base on my experience) ,,, Pakistani living abroad are real force for Pakistan so I will say to them , "Dear brothers and sisters , first of all make sure you all have 3child minimum , 2nd make sure the don't become Taxi drivers (come on man in my 25+ years I saw 60% Pakistanis doing layman Jobs in Western Countries , from Pakistani I mean 2nd Generation) teach them , let them be doctors , engineers , bankers , etc...…………. 3rd make sure you keep them connected with Pakistan and their roots" …………. Above 3 are the biggest service Pakistani living abroad can do to Pakistan after the remittances they send …….. And if you want to invest in Pakistan that will be extra ++++
And for topic : I am trying my best to start exporting home textile ….. Pray for me , totally new (but have some experience friends + relatives)

Introduce SYSTEMS based on Tech like automated Kiosks in every Govt department for services required by citizens. And eliminate sleezy paindu government officers as much as possible. Send this dirty lot home.

MANDATORY MILITARY SERVICE. IS A MUST.

Yes. The arms and ammunition industry can be developed with a little bit of encouragement by the government. In Darra/Peshawar we have one of the best gunsmiths in the world. The only problem is the lack of standardization, Quality Assurance, Metallurgy etc.

Nah I am still here, only catch is I am a financial analyst/planner/advisor sort of.:dance3:

BTW what is your specialty few relevant guys are banding together on this very forum to develop few ideas into products mainly aimed at cybersec/IT etc.
Product development is no problem. The real problem is its manufacturing in Pakistans environment(electricity, corruption at official level). Anything can be produced on license these days. Technology and machinery is available from around the globe.

BTW, I m FPGA specialist(programing and board development) .

Exactly my intention as u may know Israel is producing so much esp considering cyber security products. Its got lots of scope too in Pakistan and also helping for our LEA's in many ways.Me and @ps3linux both are hardware fan too so discussing US old projects where they create 500 TFLOPS computers and more faster commercially available hardwares lots of scope rest IA will talk u in inbox requesting mods :) u know its not wise to share ideas in open forum
Let me work on some defense projects them we can talk.

@zulu , @fitpOsitive , @baqai , @Dubious , @War Thunder , @graphican

before I go to sleep, baqai's holo projector made out of an FPGA based core and necessary accessories, with the two gentleman training/coaching idea. Mass production low cost but having lot of practical applications.

could be fine tuned...

Comments please or may be a private chat thread...
Honestly I have no idea what you just typed but I feel excited :p:

It's all about how you optamise your manufacturing and marketing. Ideas are all over Internet.

The best way to economically support Pakistan is to buy only made in Pakistan stuff whether you live in Pakistan or abroad. Avoid buying Indian or Bangladeshi stuff at all costs.

The more you buy Pakistani stuff abroad, the more Pakistan will export. This is the simplest and easiest way to support Pakistan by regular Pakistanis.

1:economic suggestion:
first of all start zarb e azib operation against bureaucrats and all MPAs and MNAs who have been winning for thirty years. Do audit them where they have spent funds in their tenure
After that loan our all of development funds to skilled youth for industrialization and employment .

2: educational suggestion
IK should do agreements with the western countries to accommodate our students in their universities at free of cost. Give scholarships to top ten students of all engineering universities of all departments . Abide them to return back after getting education . Make science city for them for research purpose . They will have to live in the hostels of science city for research as long as they dont get job somewhere in Pakistan.

Political suggestions :
pass following laws to get output from democracy.

1:Make a law that independent candidates wont join any party after winning elections . winning independent candidates can make their separate political party if they intend .Two old parties wont purchase horses for their dominance.
2 : no any person can contest election in Pakistan as long as their assets or share of assets are in foreign countries .

3: A person can't register a political party until his 5 ticket holders win election . it will end all non-represented political parties of Pakistan
