ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Format criticizism

World Cup 2011 will be played in 4 Stages.

1st Stage - Group Games
There r 7 teams in both groups and each team will play 6 games in its group.

Group A
Zimbabwe
Sri Lanka
Pakistan
New Zealand
Kenya
Canada
Australia

Group B
West Indies
South Africa
Netherlands
Ireland
India
England
Bangladesh

The top 4 teams from each group will come out. Till then this is OK


But the Problem comes in quarter finals where each team have to win (Do or Die sitituation) to go in semi finals.

First quarter-final, Group A1 v Group B4
Second quarter-final, Group A2 v Group B3
Third quarter-final, Group A3 v Group B2
Fourth quarter-final, Group A14v Group B1

This format is criticized by number of experts & farmer players.
The good team can go out in one match b4 semi finals...

The best ever WC format was in WC -1999.
Where each team had to play 4 games in quarter finalz.....

What's wrong in playing quarter finals? It shows which team has a big-match temperament.

Or do you want teams like Kenya (no offense) to reach the semi-finals like what happened in 2003? That makes the tournament a total farce IMO.
