The Estonian Center for Defense Investment (ECDI) Estonian Center for Defense Investment, announced today (Tuesday) that it has signed an agreement to develop Estonian coastal defense capabilities under which the Estonian Army will be equipped with Blue Spear (5G SSM) offshore assault missiles.

The subsidiary of IAI and ST Engineering Singapore, Proteus Advanced Systems, was selected to supply the Estonian Army with the advanced systems, following a tender process, which is a key part of the Estonian Army's equipment.



The advanced attack system Blue Spear (5G SSM) is based on the Gabriel missile family. It is a precise weapon system that operates in all weather conditions, day and night, and enables Beyond line of site attack capabilities against mobile and stationary targets at sea.

The transaction was completed under the personal leadership of Levy, who is finishing his first year as CEO of the company. This is a transaction that contributes to the diversification of IAI's export destinations. The Israeli system has won an open competition against key players, including Swedes, Norwegians and Americans. This is a significant collaboration with the Singapore ST that will open additional markets for the aerospace industry.

Launch from multiple platforms

The system enables launch from several land-based platforms, high-speed flight, advanced radar domestication that enables active domestication, precise navigation capabilities that enable maximum precision detection. The system is equipped with a variety of means that ensure meeting the various battlefield challenges.
