PARRIKAR the Indian defense minster has virtually confirmed the make up and plans of the IAF for the next coming decade.

1. The Indians have rejected the F16 make in india plan despite a real push from Lockheed Martin

2. Despite obvious flaws and reservations IAF will have to induct 6 or 7 sqds of Tejas MK1/MK1A

3. India is very very keen to place order additional Rafales in coming years

4.Despite murmuring of pulling out of FGFA programme the indoi/Russian project to build a indian SPECFIC version of the PAK FA will happen afterall.

NO REAL SURPRISES

I WANTED to share with the PDF guys and ask does this change the likely shape and make up of the PAF .

India is sticking to Russian French fighters with Israeli input EW suites missles & radars. THEY will not buy USA hardware

Why do you always compare IAF with PAF , there is no comparing every nation has its own defense plans I am sure PAF will follow its own simply.

The Indians have rejected the F16 deal because just like last time, it causes them immense heartache, and pain to give royalties to the UAE.

Note for trolls: The UAE financed the development of the Blk60, any sales of Blk60, or subsequent upgraded blocks would entitle the UAE to a royalty fee.

thanks for the info Sir. Never knew that but I have one question as wasnt India offered Block 70/72, which was supposedly more advance than block 60. Thanks in advance.

Right that's the reason, not the fact that America is a unreliable country or pakistan uses the same jet.

Block 70/72 is a myth. Doesn't exist. Bad reporting by the press.

The actual aircrafts that flew for the initial tender were UAE Blk60's. What was offered was Blk62.

India would have been buying Blk62, PAF operates Blk52+ Know the difference?

If you are a "professional", as your title here states, then you should know that that's not true. I'll give you the benefit of doubt, and assume that you are honestly mistaken, and not simply trolling. I request you to ask your colleagues about what you just wrote. Especially about the "royalties", and who is entitled to the same.

Are you kidding? We have good relations with them.

The IAF has not rejected the F-16 yet. A single engine requirement is yet to start. All these projects will get a push once the Strategic Partnership clause is complete.

"He said there are "unsolicited offers" from aircraft manufacturers like Boeing, Saab and Lockheed Martin to manufacture fighter aircraft in India and said the company which offered the best deal will be selected."

Nothing in the article that says F-16 is rejected, but it seems clear that another single engine fighter
complementing LCA is planned.
Since India sent out the RFI for the single engine fighter, the offers are really not unsolicited any longer.

India F-16s would be a tier above Pakistan F-16s

everything would be better from the radar to the missiles

but India wants to stick it out with the LCA Tejas :undecided:

India wants to Stick out with

Rafale F3
Su30mki
Tejas

THE THREAD was a straight forward question

If India REJECTS F16 would PAF go after more block 52 since the J31 is a decade away

The PAF will need more than what they have planned thus far surely AND waiting until 2025 TO GET J31 is like 8/9 years away
