What's new

Hypersonic Quasi ballistic surface to air Rudram enters limited production. .

These so called Chinese hypersonic glide vehicles are technically inferior as they uses rocket engine goes very high to accommodate kinetic energy. Shaurya class are better as they don't go too high but fly in drpressed trajectory and in terminal phase, they fly like a hypersonic missile.
Kid, every modern ballistic missile can fly depressed trajectory, it is only up to the choice before launch.

India has rntered into hypersonic league a long ago eith shaurya followed by whole K series. With Rudram III, India is entering into hypersonic air to surface missile.HSTDV is already tested. New missiles of India are in hypersonic league.
Be careful to throw around that word "Hypersonic".

Hypersonic weapons typically mean a hypersonic glide warhead or a SCRAMjet based cruise missile. India does not have either of them.

Otherwise even a ballistic missile warhead is also hypersonic and Iran produces some decent "hypersonic" ballistic misiles.

Leave even iran. German V-2 rockets used to attain speed at mach 4.6 (1600 meters per second/5760 Km per hour). Does it mean V-2 were almost a hypersonic weapon? I doubt it.

You are confusing cruise missiles with ballistic missiles. Ballistic missiles go mach 10-25+ when re entering the atmosphere. Shaheen-III goes up to Mach 18 and so does Agni-V.
Hello sir, are there systems that can defeat mach 18 missile ?

Why don't you upgrade your knowledge?

Here comes the idiot to expose his ignorance. Why don't you shut your mouth if you don't know anything.

Currently the US and Russia are developing Anti Ballistic Missile (ABM) systems that can reliably intercept a ballistic missile at Mach 18. I believe Russia's latest A-XXX series is already operational around Moscow, and the US is developing the NGI in addition to THAAD and PAC-3.

India is also developing an ABM system but it is not yet operational; Shaheen-III constantly changes its trajectory in the final stage to make it extremely difficult for an ABM to predict its path and intercept it. Iranian missiles use MARV, where the warhead can slightly change its direction till impact.

Ababeel follows a ballistic trajectory, but carries 3-8 warheads at once, so even if some of them are intercepted you will still potentially have a nuke slip through.

Defeating a missile is not just about speed, it's detection and tracking that counts as well. Hypersonic glide vehicles and Hypersonic Cruise Missiles are deadly in this regard as they hide from long range radars behind the earth's curvature, so by the time they are detected they're too close and fast to intercept. Their movement is also unpredictable (they can change direction somewhat like a fighter jet), making it near impossible to plot an interception path.

Can we ask the North Koreans for a TOT of Hwasong-8?

Can we ask the North Koreans for a TOT of Hwasong-8?
Will our US loving establishment dare to ask for it? If they are, is NK willing to risk their Hwasong-8 being compromised and falling into the hands of the Americans?
