HQ-17: A Classic Russian Missile With A New Chinese Twist

Reverse engineer? Stealing and not paying patents is the better phrase.

China bought Tor-M1 from Russia back in the 90s, the design was digested & improved on & became HQ-17. Of course, you can take up the issue with the Chinese company that work on it.:D

You keep thinking that. Makes zero difference to China.

All I care is that China acquires the weapons needed to ensure we dominate Asia by mid century.

To achieve geopolitical goals, we need a powerful military, for a powerful military we need weapons.

I couldn't care less whether we innovate weapons, buy weapons, steal weapons or copy weapons.

Bottom line is we have the weapons necessary to make sure China becomes the most powerful military in the world and can carry out our geopolitical agenda.

I am glad we are copying and stealing as much as we can to save money and catch up as quickly as possible.
Hopefully we quicken up the pace.

By the way, India is not really a democratic country. It's a dictatorship that's extremely obedient to western powers. Not much democracy going on in India.

You will be able to dominate parts of Asia by mid century, entire Asia won't be possible ever.

Dominate impossible with Japan + US support. I believe only the US can dominate. The world is very western-centric in how we operate, we can't shake that off.

Forget Asia. The way we are gaining power and influence we will be dominating the whole world mid century.

Not so easy, only money and weapons don't make a super power, the world circles around USA in more ways than you can imagine, and it will continue to do so for a considerable time. Further, Europe will side with USA any day instead of China.

In Asia itself, you cannot dominate Russia, they will remain a considerable power on their own, you won't be able to dominate Japan, that's another powerful country together with USA, and you won't be able to dominate India, by mid-century we are looking forward to become the 2nd largest economy, and if things go well, then why not the number 1 position in terms of economy by late mid-century? Domination is a big term, forget about USA & Europe, there are many countries in Asia itself that won't let China dominate them, neither China will be in a position to enforce a domination on them.

A much more saner assessment, USA will remain the most dominating power for at least this century, beyond that we don't know.

Hahaha this coming from an idiot talk. India 2nd economy largest cannot produce own bullet, MARS explore everything given by US and Russian. Nothing news.

We pretty much control Asia right now.

All the other countries will decline and collapse by 2050.

India will be lucky to still be a part by 2050 with a massive separatist groups. India will NEVER be a match for mighty China.

It's our god given right to dominate this world.

India won't even be a country by 2050.

lol...
why u think any one will doubt ur intentions......:D:D

its nothing new ..most of the chinese tech are reverse engineered of russian and western techs.......
and I think its good...u know...india should also try this.....

Alright, somebody needs to differentiate between reverse engineering and form following function.

Reverse engineer? Stealing and not paying patents is the better phrase.

And yet somehow the stolen systems adopts significantly more capabilities than the original one.
