I believe most Americans are decent people who want to believe that their government does the right thing around the world. They know it is not always 100% true but, by and large, they want the US to stand for good things.

We need to educate them that the Biden administration is on the wrong side of history and, worse, is giving democracy a bad name by endorsing a money-laundered coup by corrupt elites in a country full of poor people.

This thread is to collect ideas how we can promote that narrative in the domestic American media.

I will start out with some ideas.

1. Pool money to buy large, well-designed ads in print media.
2. Send videos to traditional media comparing PTI jalsas to opposition jalsas.
3. Write op-ed pieces in local media.
4. Organize on-campus events to educate students.

The message in all these ads must include these things:

1. The living conditions of poor Pakistanis compared to the elite partying in London.
2. The corruption cases against the elite and the complicit legal system.
3. The difference in popular support (size of jalsas) for Imran Khan v/s the so-called democratic government.

This could also apply to other Western countries but we all know the most important country that can influence Pakistani politics is the US.

The problem with Western countries in general is that they are largely clueless about Pakistan. They are not interested in this country because in their imagination it is a far flung country with all the stereotypes they are used to hearing. Much of the disinterest can also be attributed to massive Western media disinformation campaign against Pakistan. When something is associated with negativity day in day out for so many decades a perception is formed. In short, the average Joe in the US and European nations only gather information regarding Pakistan through their media and politicians. That is if Pakistan gets any coverage at all. One good example is the recent toppling of PTI government due to US meddling. The Western audience is fully unaware of this development despite colossal interference. Partly due to disinterest and partly due to no reporting.

Right now the situation in Pakistan is beneficial for US/Western powers. You won't hear much propaganda against Pakistan. The American and European audience is going to find out about Pakistan if PTI returns to power. Western MSM will be instructed to pen sponsored articles. The malicious propaganda will again rear its ugly head. Suddenly Pakistan will again become the hot topic.

PTI doesn't have the ability to counter the Western narrative. PTI has the support of Pakistani masses, but the Western media won't report. The Western audience is unaware even when massive protests are taking place in Pakistan. The goal should not be to inform nor seek support from Western audience. They are unaware and disinterested because they cannot relate to any of it. When it comes to dealings between Pakistan and US/Western powers they only happen pn diplomatic level. People to people relations are virtually non-existent. You can't garner any support from Western folks.

The best option for PTI is to hold massive rallies and continue to create awareness in Pakistan. There is a momentum and people are fed up with meddling from various quarters. This moment must be seized. PDM and neutrals will blunder in Pakistan. When they do, PTI should capitalize.

it's practically impossible to influence Americans through their MSM. It's controlled by their deep state. the only ones that will care are the ones that most Americans shun for their anti-imperialist (unpatriotic) rhetoric. think about it. after all these decades most Americans still don't know about the role their country played in events like Mossadegh coup or Allende coup. Most still think the Ukrainian maidan coup was a genuine revolution.

you can start an independent news organization and/or make contact with anti-imperialist journalist who write for websites like grayzone, etc. get in touch with similar YouTubers.

Even the alternative media in the West carefully selects certain topics.

So you want to tell American people that one of Pakistani ambassadors sent a secret letter to Pakistani government about some comments/threats that a US official lobed at him indicating that NCM would be coming in Pak parliament? And American people will accept that non-sense and condemn their government for the actions of Pakistani parliamentarians? Good luck that that non-sense. That will only expose your own stupidity to everyone.

The Americans aren't fools. They fully know that their governments and intelligence agencies have a healthy track record in regime change operations across the world. Pakistan wouldn't be an exception. Some Americans oppose this meddling. Others encourage it because they think it furthers their national interests.

How will this narrative explain exPMIK's support for the Taliban to the American people?

That's why I want to make it about America.

Americans want to believe that the US government promotes democracy around the world. The US government goes out of its way to promote that image to the domestic audience. What I am saying is that we need to show the public how the Biden administration is undermining democracy.

Especially as the election year approaches, there will be all sorts of people looking for material against Biden. We need to promote the narrative that the Biden administration does not represent American values and is promoting policies that create a negative impression of America around the world.

Once again, this campaign is about American values, not Pakistan,

How will this narrative explain exPMIK's support for the Taliban to the American people?

Easy. He was never pro-Taliban.

Imran Khan's narrative has always been that there is no military solution. AFAIK, he has never endorsed their extremist policies.

If the opportunity arises, this would be a good time to set the record straight.

Only the politically savvy Americans know this. Most Americans, like most people around the world, couldn't be bothered with politics, especially foreign affairs. There are a lot of Americans who truly believe that the US administration promotes freedom and democracy around the world.

- History of Bengal (Mir Jafar & Mir Sadiq) British Invasion, East India Company needs to be taught to children, elders. Movies and short clips need to be made about their struggle

- Quotes of great muslim leaders (Salahuddin Ayubi, Tipu Sultan, Umar Ibn Khattab) on printed on panaflex on back windscreen of cars.

- Change your WiFi names to promote Azaadi march

- Discuss with your friends & family, elders that this fight is between good and evil, and its the survival of Pakistan

- Change begins at home. Action speaks louder than words. Pakistani loog aik gherat mand qoum hai. Thoray se ghadaar hum pe ghalib nahi ho saktay.

This is a good example of the typical anti-Pakistan narrative in the West. Every single event can be portrayed in opposite ways by forging a particular narrative.

Foreign occupation wreaks havoc on any country. I bet most Americans don't know about all the drug trafficking, sexual exploitation and other ills that happened during US occupation. Not always by US troops, but certainly by their Afghan allies while the Americans turned a blind eye.

No matter how good or bad the Taliban are, even Americans agree that the only long term solution is for the Afghans to decide their own future and for the Americans to come home. Imran Khan simply agrees with that assessment.

,..,
Pakistan will not trade with Russia because it is an enemy of America,.
but, Pakistan will trade with India because India is a friend of America.

These are all good ideas and I want to brainstorm how overseas Pakistanis can help in addition to these steps.

All the American people care about is for Afghanistan never to be again used as a lunching pad for attacks on USA, by whatever means necessary. If ExPMIK can give such an assurance, it would go a long way in improving his credibility.

Fair enough I think. But that doesn't or wouldn't help IK in restoring his lost game. IK was kicked out in a due democratic process according to the Pakistan's constitution. How American people can do anything to reverse it even if they agree with you on what you're claiming?
