How India views China

how does india view china?

india knows china is superior to india in everything so india has pent up anger and frustration by the lack of ability to beat china.

it must suck to be indian.

It's all about religion, folks. Chinese people need to expand their mental horizons and realize that while China is officially atheist, many people around the world are religious and see the world through the prism of religion. In the case of India, India thinks:

- Chinese people are godless and soulless (i.e. subhuman)

- Chinese people are a lower caste, even lower than Dalits

- Chinese people kill cattle for food, so they are evil incarnate

- Hinduism is supposed to make India superior to all non-Hindu nations, yet China is more successful in every way. That makes them burn with envy!

That's probably the reason that prevents some people in India to think properly.

We all have our perception biases. I think Chinese people also have a tendency to congratulate ourselves on a task well done before we really achieve it due to impatience, and then lower our guard.

For example, Chinese people were overwhelmingly led to believe that because of China's military successes prior to, say, 1980, that this made China a "great country" and the US would treat us as an equal. In fact, the relationship was NEVER equal in the first place, but our overanxious desire for face blinded us.

The US realized a while ago that China was not as hardcore as it was under Mao or even Deng, and any respect they had for us from Korea was long gone. But Chinese lowered our guard still because we thought we had "face." Our smiles met with fists. So now, the US is emboldened to the point of openly declaring cold war on China.
