NEW DELHI: India's tormentor-in-chief Hafiz Saeed, the head of Pakistan's deadliest terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, now carries a $10 million bounty on his head. The US has announced this reward for the capture or information leading to the capture of Saeed, making him one of the most wanted terrorists in the world.

In her maiden visit to India, US undersecretary of state Wendy Sherman told Indian officials and a select audience at the Aspen Institute that apart from Saeed, his brother-in-law and co-founder of Lashkar Abdul Rehman Makki now carries a bounty of $3 million on his head.

LeT, and principally Saeed, are accused of planning and executing the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai with the help of Pakistan's spy agency, ISI. Under Saeed's watch, Lashkar has grown to become a terror group that rivals al-Qaida in its reach and lethality. Although primarily focused against India, LeT, which has links with the ISI (some claim it has been nurtured by it) has reached European and Australian shores.

The US has $25 million on the head of Ayman al Zawahiri, the head of Qaida after the killing of Osama bin Laden, making him the most wanted terrorist in the world. Saeed is in the second rung - he joins the ranks of Mullah Omar and the Qaida chiefs of Iran and Iraq, all of whom carry a reward of $10 million.

More TOIlet articles which can't stop saying Bull$hit about Pakistan. You really think US would help India find one of India's wanted terrorists? This is just to weaken Pakistan because supply routes are closed otherwise LeT has done nothing to harm US and US keeps it's interests first we all know that.

Do you have comprehension problems sonny ? It clearly states that US has announced... TOI has merely reported it.. obviously you can find other sources as well of the announcement....

geez...

But he is not hiding so why not simply ask pak gov to hand him over

For now their main focus is on kashmir but their actual goal is creating a taliban state in entire south asia

Their main goal is to get Indian Army out of Kashmir, not to make a seperate state.
So according to you, they can be allowed to use deadly force against innocent civilians in order to achieve their goals.

When did I say that? All I'm saying is to stop Indian oppression in Kashmir, and maybe, just maybe they would go away? After all, you do know their intentions right? The LeT started because of Indian oppression in Kashmir, maybe if your Army had been a little respectful of civilians and personal property, you wouldn't have LeT.

US puts a $10m bounty on Pakistan-based 26/11 plotter
Hindustan Times
New Delhi, April 03, 2012
Hafiz Saeed, the head of the bannedJamaat-ud-Dawa and founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT) outside a court as he leaves after a hearing in Lahore.
Telling India that it hasn’t forgotten the role of Pakistan-based terrorists in the Mumbai attacks, the US has placed mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba chief patron Hafiz Muhammed Saeed along with his jihad financier brother-in-law Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki on the most-wanted terrorist list and announced a reward of $10 million (INR 51 crore {80 crore in PKR}) and $3 million, respectively, for their arrest.
The reward puts Saeed at par with Taliban founder Mullah Omar, who the US holds responsible for 9/11.
India has been asking Pakistan for act against Saeed since the 2008 attacks, but has not got a satisfactory response. This move by the US might put more pressure on Islamabad.
The move was disclosed to foreign secretary Ranjan Mathai by visiting US undersecretary of political affairs Wendy Sherman on Monday.
Saeed was designated global terrorist in December 2008 and Makki in November 2010.
Saeed’s been on India’s most-wanted list since 26/11 attacks that killed 173 people, including six Americans. He’s been named India’s enemy number one and chargesheeted for his role in 26/11 attacks. New Delhi has sought his arrest from Pakistan. However, he remains a powerful figure in Pakistan with links in army brass and the ISI.
Makki aka Professor is the fund collector for Lashkar and is known to have given $248,000 to Lashkar camp training the 26/11 attackers in 2007 and another $165,000 to LeT affiliated madrassas.

Last I heard they got flushed down the Toilet yesterday morning, nothing left to flush down.
The LeT and JUD are now existing only on the other side of the border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dunno why do they(LeT) like to call them as commanders when they have such pathetic training much lesser than a constable in Congo....
Maybe their masters just want to prop them up... and out of over confidence they get gunned down like chickens every other day...

Every militant who has 3 or 4 youngsters to do their bidding calls himself "commander", "brigadier" etc. They like to think they are something more than murderers.
