Hafiz Saeed: Albatross around #Pakistan’s Neck?

The fact that Hafiz Saeed enjoys large support on this very forum explains the situation in Pakistan very well, the frustration, poverty, corruption, terrorism, paedophilia cases and natural disasters are all still not enough for Pakistanis to self reflect, instead its just easy to blame the evil juice and Hindus while chomping on donkey meat nihari.

Pakistan can get rid of sayeed in a second if it can. But he is only acting as outsourced contractor/ mercenary for some elements in ISI/PA.

General Mohammad Zia-ul-Haq appointed Hafiz Muhammad Saeed to the Council on Islamic Ideology, and he later served as an Islamic Studies teacher at the University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan.[22] He was sent to Saudi Arabia in the early 1980s by the university for higher studies where he met Saudi Sheikhs who were taking part in the Soviet-Afghan war. They inspired him in taking an active role supporting the Mujahideen in Afghanistan.[25]

If it was for Pakistan, it would dump sayeed itself and collect USD 10 million bounty. You cannot sell your shadow without giving away your secrets.

Anyone who wants to know what and why the news are so these days in Pakistan should really go through this thread.

Thanks

26/11 was a well planned and coordinated attack and it's success would have given immense amounts of pleasure to certain sections in Pakistan and the person who pulled it off - Hafiz Sayeed, is probably a great hero for those sections. One can actually imagine the jubilation and the celebrations that would have taken place during the 3 days of attacks and when an iconic structure was burning. Pakistan has gone to great lengths in defending Sayeed...including running a farce trial in kangaroo courts. This has come down to more of upholding the imaan of a "great hero" even against immense international pressure.
