What's new

Four most world's polluted cities belong to India: WHO

India have built BRT systems long before Pakistan,in fact BRT is the easiest to built. But Pakistan is yet to build a metro rail on its own.Now **** off.
You're missing the point, can't win with you kids.

None can compete with 650 million people daily defecating in the open

Index India China
Pollution Index: 76.90 87.98
Pollution Exp Scale: 135.58 161.02

You still want to bring China into the comparison? First of do you know that CO2 is not a pollution measurement but a greenhouse effect measurement?

On CO2, China is an industrialized country and generate CO2 way more, also consumerism say car is an major contributor. On comparison to india, China has over 5 times in power generation and 13 times the size of industrialization (in manufacturing value add), and if you add consumerism like car sales in China, say 23 millions in 2014, the CO2 emission is indeed huge. Yes China is a big CO2 emitter, followed by other major industrialized countries.

Now back to topic, why india being an agriculture-dominant economy, with lower than Sub-Saharan Africa income, has 13 most polluted cities, as measured in a key pollution indicator i.e. PM2.5?

You are the one who brought in Pakistani metro/ Pk-China corridor on india being polluted!

Who was telling China they dont agree with Pak- China corridor when they had nothing to do with it? Really....Then who jailed a pigeon- talk about phobia!

You guys are gonna be the next big industrial power....see you then !!.

You guys are gonna be the next big industrial power....see you then !!.
Do you have down syndrome? No one here claimed Pakistan is going to be next super power. You're the one who keeps bringing metros and what not into the discussion.

Have you measured size of china its 3 times bigger than India still you are 3 times more polluted as you are supapawa in every aspect.let it be air or water.

Don't loose it, keep it up, don't argue like giving out a 2007 NGO article as response to World Health Organization 2014 report.

First of do you know that CO2 is not a pollution measurement but a greenhouse effect measurement? OK on CO2, comparing to india, China generates over 5 times in power generation and 13 times the size of industrialization (in manufacturing value add), and if you add consumerism like car sales in China, say 23 million units in 2014, the CO2 emission is indeed huge. Yes China is a big CO2 emitter, followed by other major industrialized countries.

My question is: Why india being an agriculture-dominant economy, with lower than Sub-Saharan Africa income, has 13 most polluted cities, as measured in a key pollution indicator i.e. PM2.5?

Have a look at PM2.5 (most dangerous air pollution hazard) ranking from WHO 2014 report.
Let's say how Supa Powans define most.

Let's define MOST.
Can you believe Supa Powans believe that even 8% of a city can be called fastest?
Do they know our second tier cities grow at 10% annually?

My city, Wuhan, 2014 GDP = $162 billion(9 million inhabitants), growth rate at 8-13%

8% is not slow I can say, but it's still slower than these cities, many 10%+ growth metropolis here, even developed 1st tier cities like Tianjin and Chongqing....

to all chinese morons, did you feel shame to compare youself with india? you should compare africa with it and still africa people enjoy a far better life than indians

what a waste of time. india only worth to make fun of.

Which things make pollution in air?

Air pollution can result from both human and natural actions. Natural events that pollute the air include forest fires, volcanic eruptions, wind erosion, pollen dispersal, evaporation of organic compounds and natural radioactivity. Pollution from natural occurrences is not very often.

http://eschooltoday.com/pollution/air-pollution/causes-of-air-pollution.html

Measures and solutions:

- Vacuum cleaning and sprinkling of water on all roads.

- Focus a team on decreasing the dust from construction sites, outside houses, parks and generator gases.

- A lot of air and truck sprinkling of water everywhere.

- Controlled burning at the landfill sites using piping and venting to reduce uncontrolled toxic emissions at source

- Obtain methane gas and covering of landfills with inert material and alum sludge from water treatment plants

- The vacuum cleaning of roads. Jet pressure pump technique should be used for water sprinkling on footpath edges, road bumps and central verges. This can control dust particles.

- Install new mist fountains and air purifiers like Punjab did important traffic intersections and busy shopping mall areas.
