KARACHI: Police on Tuesday claimed that a former city warden has confessed killing 15 people in Karachi, ARY News reported.

According to the investigation report obtained by ARY News, the former public servant Muhammad Azad s/o Azeemuddin belonged to a political party and headed at least two militant units, comprising around 32 target killers.

Azad confessed involvement in a number of crimes including executing arson, demanding extortion from traders and forcing them to close shops on his party’s behest, other than killing 15 people.

Police also claimed to have recovered a Kalashnikov, a pistol and a snatched motorcycle recovered from Azad’s custody.
