FNSS has Announced Mildesign 2015 Defence Industry
Military Land Vehicles Design Leaders

The winning designs have been announced in FNSS Mildesign 2015 “International Military Land Vehicles Design Competition” which is organized for the second time by FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. and the conceptual subject of which was “conceptual design of a manned and remote controlled modular military land vehicle with ballistic protection”.

During the organization realized on 17 January in Sheraton Ankara Hotel & Convention Centre, the activity started with a presentation made by the members of the Advisory Committee to the members of the jury about the details of the competition and the scoring system. After the presentation, all day long evaluation process has been started. The winning projects are selected as a result of the consensus reached by the jury committee consisting of 12 nationals and foreigners.

Awards are granted to 14 different projects in the competition, and out of 152 participating projects 105 were in professional category and 47 in student category.

Prof. Füsun Curaoğlu (Anadolu) Gökhan Muharrem Akış (Yonca Onuk) Gökhan Keman (FNSS), Prof. Dr. Gülay Hasdoğan (METU), Marc Chassillan (Renault Trucks Defence), Mark Pedrazzi (BAE Land & Armaments), Dr. Michael Hönlinger (KMW), Seda Tezsezen (TAI) and Sözüm Doğan (Futerodesign).

The awards of the winning project owners shall be presented through a ceremony to be participated by the representatives of the leading establishments and institutions of the sector to be held in IDEF’15, which is one of the most prestigious Defense Industry Exhibitions of the world to be organized in Istanbul, Turkey.

The ceremony shall be held on the second day of the exhibition (6 May 2015) and the winning projects shall be exhibited during IDEF'15 exhibition.
