It needs some kind of mapping otherwise it would be available for all of China's roads at launch.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- AVATR, the high-end new energy vehicle brand jointly developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, on August 2 launched a time-limited promotion regarding its ADS (Advanced Driving System) premium package.

According to the automaker, all existing AVATR users are eligible for a one-month free trial of the ADS package. For those who have not yet subscribe to the ADS package, a free month-long trial run will be applied. Whereas, for existing subscribers of the package, a one-month extension will be given to the current subscription. The promotion period started on August 2 and is scheduled to end on September 30.

Notably, the ADS package has just became available for subscription on June 30 this year. To cater to different user preferences, AVATR offers three subscription modes, including a monthly subscription at 640 yuan, an annual subscription at 6,400 yuan, and a lifetime subscription at 32,000 yuan.

The ADS premium package includes City NCA (City Navigation Cruise Assistance) and AVP (Automated Valet Parking) functions. Starting from the day of subscription activation, users can enjoy the City NCA feature in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou, with Chongqing joining soon after.

In the third quarter of this year, the AVATR 11 will be fully equipped with Huawei's advanced ADS 2.0 smart driving system. City NCA will be available in 15 cities initially, expanding to 45 cities in the fourth quarter of this year.

Tesla FSD BETA tech has had no such restrictions since Day 1. You can drive it on all roads in Canada and the US.
