According to Japans OWN admission, even with Japan owning Diaoyu/senkaku islands the gas field is in CHINA's EEZ. The thing Japan keeps complainng about is the sea equivalent of slant drilling on land. They claim some gas might seep under from Japan's side of the EEZ under the ocean floor to China's side.

looks like the gas field is beyond your EEZ(in this map,either near Vietnam EEZ or the position where south China sea is written,can you post a clear map????and please point out the position in english..I can't read Chinese..
