“The work is proceeding smoothly,” Rakhmanov said in reply to a question about the progress of R&D work on Project 22350M ships.

It was reported earlier that the Severnoye Design Bureau integrated into the USC had developed a preliminary design of the Project 22350M ship in 2019. In February 2021, CEO of the Severnaya Verf Shipyard Igor Orlov said that the time for the laying of the Project 22350M lead ship had not been determined yet.

At that time Rakhmanov said that the Severnaya Verf Shipyard would start to build Project 22350M ships after its upgrade. The shipyard is planned to get a new slipway for the construction of green-water warships in 2022.

First correct your title of the thread your article says its a project of FRIGATE not a project of DESTROYER

they may aquire the ship I guess in 6-8 years however significant delays or outright cancelations are not a rarity in Russian weapons development programs so I will only believe they will build this ship when we actually see it in a drydock.
I assume this "super Gorshkov" will use the new multipurpose UKSK-M cells instead of the old UKSK.
if the super Gorshkov ends up around the same size like the Type 052D with a similar number of VLS cells then that would be good enough.

They say it is frigate in name only. 7000 to 8000 tons is more like destroyer.
First tell me you knows better or your source?? There are other examples in the world like french Italian horizon class is said by respective navies as frigate but its is actually a destroyer similarly Chinese Type 55 is called destroyer but actually a cruiser so displacement means nothing if Russian Navy call it frigate so we believe on respected sources not to you
