The locals in the deserts live a miserable life. Apparently the sole aim of their life seems to be fetching water. We use water to live and they live for water. When they don't have access to this very basic necessity of life they can' t make progress in any other sphere of life. I have travelled in the deserts of Punjab and Sindh and really felt sad about the people who spend their entire lives in such hell like places. May Allah give them ease in their next life and bless them with paradise for all the hardships they faced on earth.

Thar region was historically fertile, although it was mostly desertified between 2000 and 1500 BC. A tributary of the Indus River was said to flow through the region. Historians says this river could be the ancient #Sarasvati river

Those bomas are very Africa-esque. Bet a remnant from the time when this region was prowled by larger predators. The Striped Hyena still roams there though.

A house in a village of Tharparkar Desert of Sindh Pakistan. These huts called Chaunra in local language, roofs are thatched and the buildings made of mud.
