Daman village, ethnic Nepalese get Chinese citizenship in Tibet-Nepal border region in Tibet

Daman villege, Daman people, descendants of Nepalese Gurkha army, closely related to Tamang people of Nepal. Previously stateless, they were granted Chinese citizenship in 2003.

The guy in the video says he is so happy and proud to become a Chinese.

Think of the H1B visa regime, if you’d read the citizenship governance advisory for the US, you’d realise that they basically try to emulate a version of the roman (ancient) citizenship grant model, where basis the high demand for roman citizenship, auxiliary states would have their best people line up to prove how roman they were.
