PESHAWAR: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) police has claimed to have arrested two suspects from Peshawar, allegedly working for an Afghan spy agency.

Police have also recovered a 3kg bomb, hand grenades and other weapons from the possession of the accused, the communiqué added.

The suspects had recorded a video of overcrowded areas of the city, and were apparently planning to carryout attacks.

While further investigation is underway, a case has been registered against the accused.

On Monday, the CTD had arrested a suspected militant linked with a banned outfit.
