Convener MQM Dr Imran Farooq killed

THE TRUTH ABOUT DR. IMRAN FAROOQ…

MQM, the 3rd biggest political party of Pakistan and the most important one on account of the constituency it holds lost another ‘leader’. With a little fact finding mission, any one of us can decipher what must have taken place.

The truth is that all the murders that have taken place in MQM have been because of the direct orders from the god-father of this mafia in the garb of politics, namely Altaf Hussein. The way he was crying and howling in his telephonic address after this incident was so dramatic, that the acting must have left the likes of Amitabh Bachan and Sharukh Khan demeciated!

When MQM was founded, some civil minded intellectuals were part of the mandate, the most prominent of the lot being Tariq Azim. Nodoubt people had alot of hopes from MQM as it was the 1st proleterian party. little did the masses know that it was too good to be true. When Tariq Azim started to become more popular than Altaf (kala kawaa), it became imminent to annihilate him! :hang2:And it was done! The late Tariq Azim was the mamoo of the famous Mustafa Kamal, and in lieu of teaming up with the Kala Kawaa for assassinating his mammo, he was also handsomely rewarded.

This has been the trend of MQM, which is more of an organized crime syndicate than a political party. All the leaders have been involved in murder, torture, ****, extortion, land grabbing and any kind of illicit money making heinous activity that suits their goal.

Take the case of Dr. Amir Liaqat!! The poor chap almost kicked the bucket for becoming more popular and hence becoming a threat to the kalaa kawaa! He was only spared because he had become too much of an important and media savvy figure for MQM to execute so blatantly, so he lived. Amir Liaqat also admitted in his TV show that his life is in danger, shortly after he resigned and was told to leave the party. Lucky dog! :victory:

Actually, anybody he challenges the writ of the kalaa Kawaa, is not tolerated. His own party goons loath him. And if he were ever to enter Karachi, he would be killed by his own thugs! He also knows that quite well!

It is also rumored that governor Ishrat ul ibaad along with his family has often visited London for receiving certain ‘corrective measures’ by the kalla kawaa. Which are too humiliating to be discussed on the forum.

Many people who have met Altaf Hussein swear that he is mentally deranged! He also exhibits the traits of positive lunatism in his debauch and vulgar ways of communication. :cheesy:
Dr. Farooq was indeed the real man behind the show!! He would instruct the Kawaa as to what to do and what to say. However when doctor deceased started openly disagreeing with the crow’s behavior and outrageous comments, he initiated the stopwatch for his own morbid life. It was exactly this reason why he was striped off his post a while back. But when the Kala Kawaa realized that Dr. imran is plotting behind his back to hijack the party, this murder took place.

Altaf doesn’t realize what he has done… he is too power intoxicated to realize that dr. imran farooq was too important for him. But this is actually the beginning of the end of the terror reign of MQM in Karachi… music for the ears of karachites!! :bounce:

No, I’m not Punjabi or Pathan, before u start branding me. I’m from an Urdu speaking family, who migrated twice to Pakistan, first in 1947 and then in 1971. I guess that makes me twice a mohajir :D.
I just understand too well, the undercurrent of MQM politics and how these traitors are bent on destroying our country for their own trivial benefits. :pakistan: :yahoo:

leave it man he go to face ALLAH now and ALLAH has justice like nowere else. may ALLAH forgive us all.

While i don't know this person his party's record is certainly not good . I ask ALLAH ALMIGHTY to do justice and may he rest in peace if he was a good fellow otherwise more fuel added to the hellfire . May ALLAH ALMIGHTY forgive us only if we don't make others life miserable ...amen

An exiled Pakistani politician has been murdered outside his home in north London, leaders of his party have said.

Imran Farooq, a senior member of the MQM party, was attacked in Green Lane, Edgware, on Thursday afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police said a 50-year-old man had died after suffering multiple stab wounds and head injuries.

The MQM has declared a 10-day mourning period and violence has been reported in Karachi, with cars being set alight and guns fired across the city.

It is understood nobody has been killed or injured.

Hundreds of party activists have converged on Mr Farooq's family home in the centre of Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan and the main base of support for the MQM (Muttahida Quami Movement)

In hiding

Police in London were called to reports of a serious assault at 1730 BST on Thursday. Mr Farooq was treated by paramedics but declared dead at the scene about an hour later. No arrests have been made.

Raza Haroon, a member of the MQM central coordination committee, said: "He was a gentleman, a very, very soft spoken person with a lot of knowledge, and who was very outspoken as well.

"It's a very huge loss to the party to have lost a senior leader, in such a manner.

"This is an irreparable loss and a great tragedy for the MQM."

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "When officers arrived they found an Asian male, aged 50, suffering from multiple stab wounds and head injuries.

"He was treated by paramedics at the scene but was pronounced dead at 1837."

Mr Farooq disappeared from Pakistan in 1992 and is known to have been living in exile in London since 1999, when he claimed asylum in the UK.

He is understood to have been wanted by security forces and said in 1999 he had spent the previous seven years in hiding in Karachi.

The former Pakistani parliamentarian was one of the founding members of the MQM, a former opposition party which is now part of the ruling PPP-led alliance.

The party said it had declared a 10-day mourning period in Pakistan and in its offices across the world.

Leaders said they expect to take Mr Farooq's body back to Karachi for burial after legal formalities have been completed.

'Violent' past

The BBC's Shoaib Hasan in Karachi said he had spoken to party members and said "there's a lot of grief and a lot of sorrow going around".

He said the activists who had headed to the dead politician's Karachi home appeared grief stricken and angry and many were weeping openly.

Hasan added: "I spoke to an MQM leader who was at the home of Imran Farooq in Karachi with his parents. They said that they are relying totally on the Metropolitan Police, that they have great faith in the Metropolitan Police."

He said Mr Farooq was in essence the party's deputy leader and added he had not returned to Pakistan since his arrival in England in the 1990s.

Our correspondent said the MQM had had a "violent" past.

In 1999 Mr Farooq told the BBC charges against him in his home country were politically motivated.

At the time he said he intended to campaign against the Pakistani government of the day from exile in Britain.

Fake News ..... Already Denied by his Father .

KARACHI: Dr Imran Farooq, a founding member of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, which later became the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was killed in London on Thursday evening.

Expressing his profound grief over the shocking incident, Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain termed the incident as the saddest incident of his life, saying the deceased was Shaheed-e-Inqilab.

When the news broke late Thursday night, streets and roads in Karachi became deserted as people headed for their homes. Also, in their immediate reaction to the killing, leaders of various parties, including President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and the Awami National Party condemned the murder in strong terms.

Sources said on Thursday evening when Dr Imran Farooq was climbing the stairs of his flat in Mill Hill, North London, an unknown person stabbed him twice. He fell down the stairs. The assailant followed him and again stabbed him twice at the bottom of the stairs. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Following the confirmation of his death, all birthday celebrations of the MQM chief were cancelled.

In a late night development, senior MQM leaders assembled at Imran Farooq’s residence in Sharifabad, Federal B Area, to condole with the family. In a late night press conference at the residence of Dr Imran Farooq, his close associate Dr Farooq Sattar said the death of Dr Farooq was a great loss for the party and the MQM activists.

He announced 10-day mourning on behalf of the MQM Rabita Committee. During the mourning period, MQM activities throughout the world will remain suspended.

The Rabita Committee, he said, also condoled with the bereaved family. He said that the MQM chief was greatly upset over the death of Dr Imran Farooq. The place of burial of Dr Imran Farooq will be decided later. He hoped that the unidentified killer would be soon arrested.

Imran Farooq had attended the Sindh Medical College, where he was closely associated with Dr Farooq Sattar. Farooq was the secretary general of the All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation (APMSO).

After the emergence of the MQM, he became the first convener of the party. Following the death of General Zia and the elections in 1988, Imran Farooq was elected as an MNA from Karachi. He was the parliamentary leader of the MQM in the National Assembly.

In 1992, when the military operation against the MQM started, Imran Farooq, like other party leaders, went into hiding. He was facing several cases of crimes of heinous nature. Though he remained underground, he continued to run the party. After several years, he resurfaced in London.

Dr Imran Farooq was suspended twice from the party membership in recent years. Dr Farooq’s father was also elected an MNA in 1997. Dr Imran Farooq had married some five years ago. He is survived by his wife, Shumaila Farooq, and two children. Shumaila Farooq was a Sindh MPA in 2002.

According to initial reports, Dr Imran was returning home after a walk in a nearby park when he was repeatedly stabbed by an unidentified attacker around 11.30 pm (PST). So far, it is not clear whether it was a case of a mugging gone bad or a pre-planned assassination.

The critically injured leader was rushed to a nearby hospital where he expired an hour or so later. According to another unconfirmed report coming in later, he may have been murdered by his own security guard. Dr Farooq’s parents reside in Karachi while his wife constantly shuttled between Karachi and London.

Imran Farooq: Life of a political worker

Friday, 17 Sep, 2010

Dr Imran Farooq was one of the founding members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement. —
PAKISTAN

Dr Imran Farooq, a founding leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was assassinated in London on Thursday evening. Farooq was among the key figures who laid the foundation for the All Pakistan Mohajir Students’ Organisation (APMSO), which eventually began led to the formation of the Muhajir Qaumi Movement. In 1997, Muhajir Qaumi Movement was renamed as Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Farooq was born on June 14, 1960 in Karachi and was a close associate of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

He started his political career in 1978 with the foundation of the APMSO.

During the early 1980s, the APMSO was converted into a fully fledged political party known as the Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM). The party aimed to advocate the cause of the Urdu-speaking population, mainly in Karachi and other parts of urban Sindh.

After the formation of the MQM, Farooq became the first convener of the party. In the 1988 general elections, Farooq was elected as an MNA from Karachi. He was also the parliamentary leader of the MQM in the National Assembly.

Later on, in 1992, when Altaf Hussain went into self-imposed exile in the wake of a military crackdown against the MQM, Farooq went underground and ran the party from hiding. Although he had been declared an absconder by the government of the time, he continued to evade the authorities.

During that time, several MQM leaders and members left the country after being charged in numerous criminal cases.

Farooq also managed to slip out of the country on a fake passport and identity. In 1999, he arrived in London and applied for political asylum.

Around this time, the MQM began operating from London with Farooq largely seen as among the key figures. During the years immediately before his death, his influence in the party was said to have lessened.

Farooq was married nearly five years ago. He is survived by his wife, Shumaila Farooq, and two children.

On September 16, Farooq was found murdered near his residence in London.

Political observers say there can be extraordinary repercussions if the attacker(s) is found to have any links with Pakistan.

I just hope this ^^ isnt the case

Saleem Shehzad and Imran Farooq had finalised the plan for the split of MQM. They were sick of the fact that the party was being run by a single 'badmash'.

Many of the MQM (altaf group) leaders had agreed to support Imran and Shezad. obviosly this was not acceptable to the Kaala Kawaa of london and he did what he is best at doing, killing his own partry members who oppose him.

Chalkings of the new MQM(B) were even witnessed by karachiates a few days back for the first time in many localities of karachi.

Once again, the black crow wins..... but not for long
