Former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar on Monday responded to the claims made by current provincial chief executive Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, saying that criticising him was equivalent to criticising the PTI’s narrative.

Buzdar’s statement came a day after Elahi, in an exclusive interview with ARY News, had rejected PTI chief Imran Khan’s continuous criticism of former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.

In the same interview, Elahi had also blamed Buzdar for poor governance in Punjab, adding that he had neglected Gujrat, the stronghold of Elahi’s Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

“I saw that Buzdar ruined everything in four years,” Elahi said. “I had to fix everything. Even Rescue 1122 was ruined.”

Inshallah the assemblies aren’t dissolved and the chaudhry’s show their colors. PMLNPPP, Army, judiciary, media, beauraucracy exposed, Q was left. In 6-7 months, unless they assassinate IK, he comes back and PML q like MQM finished. Only problem is we are defaulting as a nation in 2-3 months (maybe less) with idiot Dar at the helm. If assemblies dissolved media will blame IK. If he waits he can come after the default.

Pervaiz Elahi Forgot All The Favors of Imran Khan??

Regardless of who gets their way — Imran, PDM or invisible hands — there’s no end to ongoing political crisis

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s interview has added an urgency to political activity in Lahore.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi jumped into the fray with an outburst — he has probably given more interviews this year than he has in his entire political career — against Khan’s criticism of former chief of army staff, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Uncharacteristically harsh, not only did he warn Khan and the rest of the PTI to refrain from criticising the former chief but also threatened to speak up the next time it happened. Adding that he had thrown a PTI MPA out of a cabinet meeting for speaking against the military, he reminded the party, and especially Khan, of all they owed Gen Bajwa, and how criticism amounted to ehsaan faramoshi, or ingratitude. (And rewriting history in a way, he recounted the good general’s trips to foreign lands to ensure funds for Pakistan and not unsavoury events such as the 2018 election, as the ehsaans or favours.)
